The staff were very accommodating. Special mention for Anna. Helped us check in, with our luggage to our 3rd floor room and arranged a taxi for us. The room was clean and offered many amenities. Very close to the Louvre, Notre Dame and metro station. Would stay here again.

Awesome and extremely conveniently place, especially if you have a Big Bus 1 or 2 tour… the bus stop is only 5min walk for an easy Hop-in/Hop-off day trip.

We had such a great stay at this property! Absolutely a great choice if you are travelling to Paris. We were a group of 4 and it was a perfect fit, would be great for families. Clean and safe and absolutely perfect location! Just a few minute walk to the Louvre and about ~35 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. Staff were friendly. Our group has no complaints overall. One thing I would highlight is that there was no elevator, just stair, so for accessibility this unit would only work for those able to easily maneuver stairs. Would stay here again!

My family and I (two adults, two children under 10) recently stayed at this hotel for our holiday, and it was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is fantastic. Being so close to the Louvre was a huge advantage for sightseeing, and we were spoiled for choice with the variety of excellent restaurants just a short walk away. This made it very convenient for family meals. Furthermore, our room was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated after long days of exploring the city. However, there were several negatives that significantly impacted our stay. The biggest issue was the lack of a lift. Our room was on the fourth floor, and I had to carry our 25kg suitcases up four flights of narrow stairs, which was exhausting and not ideal for a family with young children. The breakfast, which was included, was very basic and disappointing. The dining area was far too small for the number of guests, and we repeatedly had to call reception to find out when a table was free. This was a frustrating way to start our day. The general condition of the common areas was quite poor. The rugs on the stairs were visibly worn out, and the fixtures looked dated and run-down. In our opinion, this establishment feels more like a Bed & Breakfast than a hotel, and the price we paid felt too high for the level of comfort and amenities provided. Potential guests, especially families or those with mobility issues, should be aware of the lack of a lift and the subpar breakfast.

Hotel Lion d’Or is a treasure. We stayed in studio 4SD which had more amenities than what was needed to accommodate us during our stay. The kitchenette, complete with espresso machine, daily stocked mini fridge, microwave dishes/pots and pans, stovetop etc is excellent. The market is around the corner which is easy shopping if you wish to cut down on restaurant dining. Less than two blocks you will be at the Tuileries. Every street surrounding this hotel is filled with shops and cafes, bistros and restaurants. It is also within easy walking distance to the metro, bus stops etc (2-4 minutes!). The rooms are cleaned to the highest calibre every day. I truly cannot say enough about this little gem. Oh and the breakfast! Jams of every kind, fresh bakery items, dried fruits and nuts, self serve coffe bar, breads, meats and cheeses etc. If you need to take a moment in the afternoon to recoup, the beautiful dining area is perfect to enjoy some delicious lemon water (available at all times) and an espresso while some light jazz music plays in the background. I truly cannot say enough. To the staff: thank you so very much for making my daughter’s 16th birthday the birthday of a lifetime. We will return. We miss you already. Ont t’aime, Paris ❤️

We loved the location and the set up of this room for our family of 4. Lots of space, mini kitchen, and close to grocery and metro station. Very close to the Louvre and river. Great service and friendly staff.

The location is amazing, however the small studio across from the hotel we rented does not deserve a 3 Stars Rating. We stayed 11 night with our two sons and ran the Paris Marathon the first week end. They did not clean our room floor before we asked on the 7th day!!! We booked over 5 months ahead and they still gave us a VERY SMALL room for 4 people we could not even access the stairs or seat at the table with out moving the dining table and baby crib! The building is old, we can hear every person going up and down the stairs, they are made of wood! Again not worthy of 3 stars! There is also a very bad smell in the room if the windows are not opened! We where very disappointed with the room and quality of the service but delighted by the location.

This was a lovely property, sited in two buildings. We stayed in one of the studios -- it was spacious and nicely set-up. The only draw-back is that the studios are in a walk-up. Ours was on the third floor, so 3 flights of stairs to/from our room. The other rooms are in the main building and have an elevator.

Great location and excellent service! Our family of four shared a loft style room and it worked very well for us. It’s a small space (as are most hotels in Paris) but very efficient. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed walking to everything we needed- bars, restaurants, sightseeing and shopping.
