Welcome to Roddy & Shelle’s Chateau — a boutique tiny house designed for comfort and simplicity. Set in a rural landscape with open views and stargazing, it’s a place to relax, recharge, or catch up on work. Thoughtfully styled with a calm, modern feel, it offers an easy, well-balanced stay just 10 minutes from Dargaville. Ideal for couples, solo travellers, and business guests.

This boutique tiny house, custom-designed and built in 2024, offers the comfort of a full-sized home within a compact, thoughtfully designed space. Set on a north-facing 7,000m² property, it enjoys all-day sun and open views across rolling countryside, with frequent sightings of local wildlife and excellent stargazing on clear nights.

Located just 10 minutes from Dargaville, it offers a convenient base while still feeling removed from the pace of town.

The Space

Living
A relaxed, open-plan space with TV (internet enabled), record player, and a selection of books and games. A calm, comfortable setting to unwind or recharge.

Kitchen
Well-equipped for simple or extended stays, with gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a full range of cookware and utensils. The breakfast bar also provides a practical workspace.

Bedroom
Queen bed with quality linens, bedside lighting, and storage. Designed for comfort and ease.

Bathroom & Laundry
Spacious shower, vanity, toilet, and washing machine, with towels and essentials provided.

Comfort
Fully insulated with double glazing and a heat pump for year-round comfort. Gas hot water and clean rainwater supply.

Outdoor Living
Step outside to take in the rural views, with open space and wide skies creating a relaxed setting throughout the day. An outdoor dining area and BBQ make it easy to enjoy simple meals or unwind in the evening, while clear nights offer excellent stargazing.
