It was okay, bugs were in our first room in our bed, wasn’t bed bugs or nice but gross still. The young lady who worked with us was kind however the middle aged lady the rest of our trip was seemingly completely uninterested in us and was rude.

The desk told me checkout time was 11 am. I received an email or text from the hotel at 8 am telling me the checkout time was Noon. I double checked with the front desk and they said the text was wrong.

Pella, Iowa, is a gem! We were there for a wedding. The property is old, but they have done a nice job updating it. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet. Unfortunately, the elevator had been out of order for almost a week, so we all had to walk up three flights of stairs in an unconditioned stairwell. This included older people, those with canes, and those with disabilities. Fortunately, we are very active and consider ourselves in good health, and it was still taxing for us. When we asked for a discount on our room, and yes, we had to ask, we were given a $10 discount for each night (we stayed two nights). The included breakfast consisted of biscuits and gravy, yogurt, Cheerios, Danish, bagels, and hard-boiled eggs. There weren't any scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. The room rate was $219, which, in my opinion, is too much even if the elevator is working.

I didn’t like how I could hear every step the person above us was taking. I could hear them taking a shower, as well as when the gentlemen took a high pressure pee at 5:00am. Not a good place to get any sleep.

Not worth its rating.

The bed was hard, there was no top sheet on it, there was no soap in the bathroom (just a makeup wipe), and no one was working the receptionist desk and no bell to ring when I went to check out. I waited 10 minutes, yelled a “Hello” and no one came. I wrote a note on my key requesting an emailed receipt with my email address and never received one.

The lady who checked us in was rude. Bummed there were no cookies at check in or when we left. The bedspread had lumps in it, like there was something in it but appeared to be the filling all balled up. Our air conditioning made a noise all night like a plastic bag was attached to it. The bed was comfortable though and overall it was clean
