Great hotel, fantastic view, of course you will hear the mosque but was fine by me. Staff really nice and warm. Very good restaurant, which is a very good thing since the road to get there is kinda rocky!!! Only negative point is the audio by the pool and for the restaurant is poor quality. This is not also the kind of ambiance to but too loud and pop music. They should focus on easy listening music to create a good ambiance for dinner !
It has a great view of the ocean and the place is well maintained for a secluded location at the the top of the hills. Would definitely need a taxi or a ride to get there as the road were quite rough.
Pool location was great, temperature controlled water in the pool is the best. Good breakfast.
Road works around the property making it far to reach from the port and local market.
Sea La Vie (Nusa Penida), is a beautiful well maintained hotel with modern clean rooms.
Staff are very attentive and happy to go above and beyond.
Considerng the hotel is far from any restaurants, their food menu is very limited and very little flexibilty to make changes to suit particular dietary needs.
The hotel would not suit the elderly or young children, as it is set on a hillside overlooking the harbour / sea and has large steps to negotiate for moving around the hotel.
The main strip is a stone throw away, however there is no walking access and the taxi ride takes 15 minutes and costs 150k idr each way.
The access road is single lane and not maintained or any regards given to it by the topend hotels that use it, therefore taxis are very reluctant to take the fare or charge a premium.
Overall a reasonable hotel, but personal opinion is it would be better to stay at an accommodation close to the eastern side of the harbour, for ease of access to shops, restaurants and taxis.
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
Know what to expect and have a great time!
Wonderful views from the front row villas, room service, good wifi, attentive staff and snorkeling tours right from their private âdockâ were all highlights. Yes, access to the property was an adventure (we only left the property via boat while we were there for 4 nights) and certain details were a little rough around the edges but par for the course for not being a large western branded property. Call to prayer from the nearby mosque 5 times a day is very apparent especially at 4am (yes not kidding, and it lasts upwards of 30mins each time), the resort provided ear plugs but we were still a little jet lagged and up at that time anyways so went with the flow⊠overall we went in knowing what to expect based on other reviews and had an enjoyable stay! A unique experience for sure!
Our hotel room was superb, location from hotel has beautiful views of the beach. The pool and pool bar is great to buy drinks. Nice beach club vibe, very chill music and a place to relax and recuperate. We did not really like the menu, found it limiting. You need some type of transport to get around anywhere, such as shops. Short access to nearby restaurants/shops is off track and involves some climbing. Fair amount of fitness required.
Itâs probably the best place to stay at Nusa Penida. The staff was amazing and everything was so clean. They have an amazing crusty chicken sandwich. If you stay here you should try it. When you book your room and they are doing construction they will give you a free up grade i was very happy with our stay here. Will definitely stay here again.
Honestly we liked a lot about our stay here. The pool was great, the drinks from the bar were solid and the staff was very friendly. The road on the way there was bumpy, but honestly donât let that deter you!
Now for the not so fun bitsâŠ.first off, the walls are VERY thin. You can unfortunately hear everything that you neighbors are doingâŠalso there is a mosque with a loudspeaker that will wake you up at 4:30 every single morning. The hotel does provide earplugs, but even those canât block it out.
The hotel was very luxurious and had the most incredible view over the harbour and Mount Agung in the distance. Sitting by the infinity pool was absolutely stunning. This was by far the nicest hotel we saw in the area.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and catered to all our needs.
The hotel is very much off the beaten track but not really any worse than other roads on Nusa Penida. The hotel was very much worth the drive over and drivers were happy to pick us up/take us there. There was also a short cut down a steep hill to walk into the main area which takes about 20 minutes.
