Booked my reservation days in advance & went to check in to find out they were overbooked and had no rooms. They gave the people checking in in front of me my room as they happened to get there before me and used a different site to book the same room. Upon my turn, I was just out of luck, no room for the night, even though I had paid a few days earlier. Since I booked through Expedia, they couldn’t directly refund me and then I had to contact Expedia on my own to get the refund, which was the easiest process of the whole thing, but still absolutely ridiculous on behalf of Holiday Inn. The girl at the front desk was very nice, and attempted to solve the problem, even though it wasn’t her fault.
