Nicely located clean motel

The motel is nicely situated within minutes of the lake. The room was clean. The only drawback with having a king size bed is that there is only one bedside table (a common occurrence where motels are trying to accommodate the king sized bed in rooms that were not built for them). Very minor quibble and not a deal breaker for sure. Could use a fan/extractor in bathroom and over stove. Overall a very pleasant stay.

So not stay here. We had a terrible experience. We travel often and have modest expectations. We were arriving late and we were told we couldn't check in after 10 o'clock. The night that we arrived, we were going to be late so we called them and they said that it was no problem to check in late, so I'm not sure why they didn't tell us that before. On the last night of our stay, people were partying till 4 AM in the room beside us when I called the front desk and nobody answered because they don't have anyone working there after hours EVER. The next day, when I went down to complain, they argued with me about the fact that I never actually called them. They told me that I could talk to the manager the next day and that he would call me. He didn't. I waited four days and called back. They basically told me that they have no idea when the manager/owner will be in. I asked what their policy was regarding emergency situations and they didn't have an answer when I pressed for more information the front desk Clarke hung up on me. I called back four times and she refused to answer my phone call. This hotel is being run by a bunch of yahoo's. They have no management around to help them in the event of any situation that goes sideways. I would be scared to wonder what they would do in an emergency situation. The owner doesn't even care. The people at the front desk I think are sleeping in a back room. We watch them walk out barefoot so I don't think they follow stand hygiene.

This stay is excellent value for your money, perfect for a young family. The location is fantastic (though I wish there were sidewalks outside) with just a few minute walk to restaurants, coffee, and the beach. I’d definitely come here again. The only thing I didn’t like is that the room didn’t feel clean to my standards, but it might have just been because it was outdated. And this factor would not stop me from booking again.

We stayed here for 4 nights because our daughter was getting married in Summerland. This motel was exactly what we were looking for. Nothing fancy but a decent price and great location. The owners are kind and accommodating. I would love to come back in the summer, it would be a perfect vacation spot.

Room was large and clean. The floor has a definite slope! We thought it was us, after a long drive. Reception Staff was pleasant. Room had a full kitchen we didn’t mean to choose. Sliding door out the pool, but we didn’t use it.

I didn't use the laundry. Didn't know there was one. Good parking. Rooms still use an old fashioned 'key' entry. The room was clean. The shower was made for very short people. Only 1 wine glass and 1 water glass for 2 people.

We went to try to extend our stay for the night and we're told no which you know if they would have had no rooms available left or if we had done anything to warrant that would have been fine and understandable however they were not completely sold for the night and there was no reason based on anything we've done that we should have not have been able to extend our stay

We arrived to find the king room we prepaid was unavailable and were moved to a queen instead, with no offer of a rate adjustment or upgrade. The front desk clerk declined to address the discrepancy, which was disappointing since a fare adjustment is the minimum when a lower room category is provided. Otherwise, the room and property were clean.

The Motel is on the older side. The room was clean, quiet and well kept! It had a small kitchen that was well equipped and had a full size fridge that was convenient. There were lots of outdoor seating options just outside the back door and around the pool. I was there for just one night but it would be perfect for a longer stay. The price was right for this time of year!
