Weekend break

Although abit dated, the hotel was clean and staff were great. The dinner at night was excellant, we had the best steak and meals were great. The only down size was the breakfast im afraid, mainly as the cooked breakfast was bought to you as soon as you went in and you were eating cereals and was cold. Not much choice.

Breakfast was cooked lovely and very tasty . I did not go for healthy . Staff are super friendly and so helpful . Room was very clean and quiet and had a great rest . Would recommend this hotel to all , for the very modest price it was a highly professional and quality service and evening meal was amazing . Going back this week due to how at home i felt

This hotel is pretty dated, but was warm and clean throughout the stay. Breakfast could have been better as it was served cold. This was rectified after mentioning it. All in all for the price we paid it was a fair hotel. We would stay there again.

Staff are exceptional service was great the hotel is a little tired but rooms were clean and adequate. Roseline was excellent on reception. The bar being open later for guest is great. The breakfast was good and the location perfect for visiting Perth and Scone Palace is a must visit. Cannot Thank the staff enough. Would stay again.

Hotel feels struggling

Clean room but in a separate building from main hotel building, it looked like a private house and felt like you where going into someone's home. Everything felt old about the room but bed was comfy, lots of noise from people coming and going from they're rooms and our room was 2 doors away from a noisy front door. Website stated buffet breakfast but when we got there we where given a sheet of paper with 6 or 7 breakfast items on it and asked to tick what we would like. I am vegetarian and there was very little I could eat from the list...tomatoes and beans I think was the choice so I didn't go to breakfast, my Husband did go and was very underwhelmed by it saying he got one of each item he had ticked on the sheet of paper, he would have taken a few slices of bacon and a couple more sausages had it been the advertised buffet breakfast. The hotel had a nice bar area and we enjoyed several rounds of drinks. The young lady who checked us in and served at the bar all night was super nice, very friendly, professional and a great asset to the hotel

Basic hotel and would benefit of an upgrade, that said the hotel is being done bit by bit, food was excellent, sirloin steak was delicious, room was clean and comfy bed, staff were ever so helpful. Would come back again.

When I arrived there was no room in the car park. I checked in and then was advised I had to go outside in the pouring rain to access a separate building where my room was located. After climbing up the stairs I arrived in my room which was dark, dingy and dated. After a long day I wanted a shower but the water pressure and fixtures were such that it was nothing more than a dribble and cold. The room was like stepping back in time. The carpet felt gritty underfoot and there were cobwebs on the walls. The mattress was hard. I will not be returning. Travelodge is like a 5star in comparison

Mostly a good stay. Hotel is a little tired but very clean. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. However, the breakfast was very poor, which was disappointing considering how good the dinner was.

Nice enough hotel room with a comfortable, clean bed and clean, albeit dated, bathroom. One thing to note is that the walls are very thin between the rooms and corridors. We could hear everything from full conversations and cups of tea being made, to snoring and everything else… Lots of cobwebs up high around the ceiling and curtain pelmet too.

Stayed here many years ago and many changes to this hotel - for what they charge it is excellent value for money - however on arrival I was discussing checking in, early I may add, when the phone rang and the general manager, the lady attending to us, decided to stop our interaction in favour of answering the phone - I detest this action - this call could be heard by all standing in reception and tasted approx 5 mins - I must say I was not amused and had I not already paid in advance I would have walked away - after the call which was made public knowledge I was attended to and taken, early, to my room - however the way we were spoken to was not very apt - the rooms are excellent value for money and I would recommend room 215 apart from the shower which was virtually impossible to regulated

Lovat? - Like it, rather than Love it

Comfortable room Disappointing that, despite 3 requests for the problem to be remedied, it was only upon departure that we were advised of the fault in the system which resulted in no TV/media/entertainment output for the stay. Problems are occasionally unavoidable, but information/advice should be given when problems do occur. The breakfast is fine, but (given that many visitors are on a leisure trip) it would be more relaxed if the hours of availability were extended later.
