Check in was fine. Staff were the best part of the stay. Polite, responsive, and this includes every level of staff except one parking attendant. When we checked into to our reserved smoke free room for two days we had to sign an agreement to not smoke otherwise we agreed we may incur charges for cleaning. When we entered the room we were immediately hit with a wall of heavy, dank, stale smell of cigarette smoke. The front desk said they could perhaps move us to another room tomorrow. We were busy with wedding stuff so not much time to deal with this. Then we found the air conditioner was not working. The room was warm that night. Maintenance came to check it and said the air conditioners do not work well when outside temperature is below a certain amount. It was in the 50's outside. But, an enclosed hotel room with large windows will get stuffy and warm. And, is that really how air conditioners work? The next day, wedding day, we got to pack up our stuff and carry it like homeless folks to a new floor. A room that smelled like a hotel room. Better. My compensation as an IHG member for this? A terrific thank you for staying at Holiday Inn Express. Well, you're welcome, I guess? Is it worth about $800 to stay in a Smokey, warm hotel room for one night then pack up to move to another room for one night? I'd have to say no. I think that's a reasonable conclusion. Holiday Inn Express in Midtown Philly amenities are highway motel level. And that's OK

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! It's an excellent location, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. I was a solo traveler arriving late at night and felt safe and at ease during my whole stay. I would stay here again any time and would gladly recommend this location to friends and family.

I called ahead to ask about parking and was told I could guys park in garage since I was staying. I can but the girl at counter seemed take aback that I was. And somehow, I was booked in there computer for an Accessible room, which I didn’t book. I’m not sure what an accessible room even entails and does not show on my confirmation that I booked that.

The room was fine but internet was weak for a large hotel. Could not keep signal. The parking garage was a horrible experience. It costs 39.99 a day to park after paying$1000 for the room and fees. With that, parking was still difficult because the garage is extremely small and even after being forced to pay, vspots were not open

Staff was friendly upon check in, we stayed one night just 2 people my daughter & I got Billie Eilish concert. We liked the clean room a lot, comfy beds, definitely a nicer hotel. The city was crazy & we felt safe. We didn’t like that they woke us up knocking so early at 8 am for housekeeping the again a bit before 11am checkout. We were only staying 1 night don’t need housekeeping nor to be woken up that early so that was not necessary & a bit annoying so next time we will tell them in advance not to do that. We chose to sleep over having free breakfast wish it was open until 11:30am instead of 10:30 since we had to checkout at 11am. USB slot on lamp and desk was helpful when our charger stopped working lol had a city view window on floor 8 was cool with elevator close by. Had a pool too but closed for season. Deep soaking bathtub super clean & dove soaps which 1 of them the pump was broken so couldn’t use the conditioner. We had backup of our own. Parking on site was fine no issues. Overall a great stay we even rode the underground subway to and from the concert to xfinity mobile arena which was scary at first but actually pretty fun and fast! Beats driving in that crazy city traffic! Overall the city was so cool and homos pizza nearby was open late and sooo good!! Convince store close by for all your forgotten needs like a charger food snacks drinks etc. can’t wait to stay again! Recommend!
