We were met by a delightful and informative gentleman (John?) manning the front desk who truly loved his hometown of Philadelphia and was a wealth of knowledge and orientation for us. He filled us in historically, culturally and using a map, gave us lots of direction and advice, which was helpful as we only had two nights here. A very historic house, 1787, and inspiring to stay in.

So close to all the important sites while at the same time historic itself. Our room was large and comfortable with a good bed and lovely sheets. Shower slippery and tiles could have used a good cleaning. Shower nweds a mat.

Excellent location within walking distance to Independence Hall, downtown, and many restaurants. The bedding, bathroom and facilities were top notch. Although you could hear transit and road noise from our room during the day, it never bothered my sleep. Would recommend and plan to return.

The staff was excellent. they helped us out with an umbrella when it rained, generous with their time and took our luggage up to the 3rd floor for us. There were a lot of small details that made our stay wonderful. The breakfast was amazing and our room was clean and spacious.

Great historic gem. Beautiful place, really. Convenient for hop on/off buses and many restaurants. Only thing i didn't like was i booked a room on the top floor. But that was my mistake at booking.
