We really enjoyed our stay. We were just passing through and it was an unexpected surprise to find this place. There was an expensive but different and yummy hamburger joint just around the corner. Check in was easy with the key code and it was a nice small motel tucked in the trees.
My only complaint was the next door rooster that woke us up and that wasn't the motels fault.
Super adorable cottage surrounded by beautiful trees. Self check in was easy, room was spotless. Room and bath is a little on the small size but we didnât mind it. I would love to stay here again.
The unit we rented was basically a house. All accommodations available, esp in kitchen. Great coffee and coffee maker, all appliances you would expect from your own home.
Our first time staying at Anderson Valley Inn was fantastic! Easy pre-check in and check in process. Clean, new room with comfortable bed. Super convenient location in the heart of Anderson Valley's wine region. Highly recommend staying here when you are in the area!
Overall, the space was not clean; especially the bathroom. The microwave did not work( we traded unit 2 microwave with unit 7. We were originally in 7 but itâs heater didnât work so we moved to #2. Itâs gone downhill since the last time we stayed there. We wonât be back.
Good/great overall experience, considering the extraordinary location in Philo.
Although the standard rooms are small, heating appliances and bathrooms worked well. King sized beds may or may not fit in all rooms, but a few would benefit this property. I recommend ownership implements new pillows, sheets and bedding.
Perhaps consider adding small refrigerators? We had to chill our n/a drinks and white wine outside the door overnight.
While checking out on the final day, our interaction with Gerardo was fantastic. Thank you, we shall return in the spring!
Room was clean however no batteries in the emergency lantern and broken wall heater (though space heater provided) and shower gel bottle empty and under bed not cleaned (we found someoneâs lost items under there). Served the purpose but nothing special either.
Needs better mattress. Way too soft.
Loved the kitchenette with great refrigerator, coffee maker (with coffee).
Rooster across the street impacted night sleep.
Large bedroom plus kitchenette and sitting room. Cute outside sitting area.
I am so glad to see the Anderson Valley Inn being taken care of. I even considered purchasing the property a few years back when it was for sale. I am glad to see that it is thriving. I also like that the name hasn't changed. The rooms were clean, easy to get into, and functioned exactly how one would expect. I will likely continue to direct people here.
Property was wonderful and I would stay there again without a second thought. My one criticism is that I was unable to find our room number in any of the communications with Expedia or property management. As a result, when we arrived around 10 pm, we tried the door code in every door with a light on until we found the one that worked.
We found the housekeeping below acceptable standards. There were black ants on the walls. The power went out in part of the unit however there was a prompt response from management. A guard dog nearby barked day and night. There was only one wine glass and it was cracked and dirty. The bed was comfortable. The inn needs on-scene management.
The building is old and although there are some upgrades, it feels run-down. The entry door doesnât fit properly. There is a large gap at the bottom and we put a rolled up towel there to keep the cold air from seeping in.
The bathroom sink is tiny with no counter space. We used the kitchen counter for things we would normally do in the bathroom, like brushing our teeth. But ther is no mirror in the kitchen so its utility is limited.
There is a small table with 2 very uncomfortable chairs. The wall outlet is loose and when we checked in, there was a space heater plugged into a power strip which also ran the lights in the room. When we plugged a phone charger into the other outlet, the lights went out. We plugged the space heater directly into the outlet where it should be for safety, and used the power strip for our charger.
This was the most uncomfortable place I have ever stayed.
Completely mis-represented, very small, no air-conditioning-not informed on website, was 100 degrees in Anderson Valley which is common! Had 1 little tiny window and 1 tiny single fan, "Dangerously Hot, poorly ventilated facility" sent message to owner, never responded to the fact that had to leave and return home early, very unhealthy!!!! đ€ Unhealthy!! Falsely represented property!!!
