We needed a space in Peoria where we could have out of town guests stay overnight and have a group of 8-10 meet during the day. This house had exactly what we needed. It had spaces large enough for the group to eat together or sit on the couch and even had alternate spaces for taking a break or splitting off into smaller groups.
The property was very clean and nicely furnished. Labeled kitchen area for smooth meal preps. Nice pool and lounge area. We appreciated the prompt communication from the host. Will definitely stay again!
The kitchen was not stocked to host 4 people let alone 12. Several of the bowls, plates and glases were cracked and should have been replaced. The silverware was only able to host 4 people. The serveware and utencils were old and missing. There was no wine bottle opener. We were only provided with 4 bath towels for the 3 bathrooms/ entire house for 2 nights. Only one side of the BBQ worked and we were expected to fill the tank which would have been nice to know upfront and not when we went to use it. Their was two squeeling dogs next door that made sitting outside uncomfortable. The place is very run down and clearly needs some repairs and updates. The carpet was very soiled and could ve replaced and the woodwork needs a paint. The airconditioning was poor at best.
I wish we came during warmer days, but this property had a beautiful backyard. The place is perfect for a family or big gathering. Beds were comfortable and there were so many rooms to choose from. The area is located next to tons of shops and food options and the host was communicative and welcoming, we are definitely staying here again if another work trip brings us to the area!
Spacious floor plan with good size bedrooms to accommodate guests and families. Location is very convenient for groceries, dining, and baseball tournaments. A few IMPORTANT things to note:
*Poor security : Need working ring camera and additional cameras and motion lights on driveway (tried to steal a car parked on the driveway/vandalized it instead, checked all car handles for additional break ins) We were able to get video coverage from neighbors cameras across the street. Police confirmed could have been prevented w/ increased security measures. Police confirmed this neighborhood is a high risk area and is frequently targeted as thieves know which houses are rentals. Be sure to lock cars and remove all valuables. And make sure front door is locked as well. It does not lock automatically once shut.
*Lack of staple supplies to cover the number of guests and nights : Need more utensils, (there were 5 forks) and not enough trashbags, papertowels, bath towels and toilet paper for (10) guests staying (5) nights.
*Lighting outside is poor : No pool lights and the other lights were not easy to find. The pool water fountain was not allowed to be used, it should be on a timer. It would be a nice addition to have a few pool towels too.
Guests need to feel safe and be comfortable. I'm hoping this review brought awareness to all.
