Before you respond to this review in the obscene way that I have seen you respond to other peopleâs reviews, Iâll first point out that this group travels often (& stays in a lot of high-quality vacation rentals), so we have a pretty solid benchmark. When 3 days prior to arrival we learned our property was âaccidentally double bookedâ, we were told this home was an âupgradeâ and âthree times betterâ than the one we originally bookedâwhich honestly make us wonder what three times worse looks like.At first glance it seems fineâTVs in every room, comfy couches, & a fun backyard. But once you actually settle in, the basics are strangely missing.No extra TP, no paper towels, barely any hand soap, no pool towels. Half the outlets didnât work, including the kitchen island which contained the microwave & wine cellar. The kitchen setup & cookware were minimal & frustrating. Very few pots & pansâjust lots of lids. The internet was glitchy. And parts of the house felt more quick-fix than quality buildâjust shoddy overall. Then there were last-minute fees that felt tacked on and not very transparent. 100 to rent sports equipment?Whatâs most disappointing, though, was the pattern in the hostâs responses to other guest reviewsâdefensive & rude rather than solution-oriented or understanding in any way. Not confidence-inspiring for us renters.Overall, itâs a lot of surface-level flash and not much function. Cover the basics first, then go ahead & try to shame us/call it an upgrade.
