Had the best week long say at the South Mountain retreat. Came to town for spring training and this property was perfect for our needs. Nicely located for traveling to ball parks and near every other thing you might want. Lovely grocery store just down the street and restaurants of any variety a short drive away.We ate in mostly, and the kitchen is completely equipped for meal prep. The weather was quite warm when we visited and the beautiful back yard was such a luxury! The heated pool was put to good use. It was sparkling clean and a great temperature. We visited South Mountain park and also the Science center to visit the Pompeii exhibit which was amazing. This house was just so comfortable and roomy. It really helped make our vacation special. You won't be sorry if you choose to stay at this outstanding property.

Everything about the house was great! The "heated" pool was ok, but it was cool weather and cold at night, so I think if we had had more sun it would have been perfect. The firepit was AWESOME, and the outdoor living sections made our trip wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, and the hosts are very attentive. I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Our second time staying at this house absolutely perfect great area, pool nice and warm pet friendly couldn't ask for anything better. The owners are super nice. Very easy to talk to. They definitely go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. We'll be back stores and parks are all close by well stocked kitchen. thanks for another great time.

This home was probably one of the best places we’ve stayed. It was so clean and comfortable. So many places skimp on furniture but it was comfortable everywhere. We loved the pool and our 2 westies loved running and chasing each other around the backyard. A couple of the over the top items we rarely find. The master shower is perfect after a hot day, nicer than mine at home even. Being able to have a garage door opener and parking in the garage out of the sun is a huge plus in the area.

Great get away!

The house was extremely clean and the property owner was very nice to work with. The backyard is exceptional. We loved the location and the proximity to the south mountains which enabled us to hike every day before breakfast. We also loved being close to the grocery store and coffee shops. The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly want. The only minor inconvenience was the beds are a bit small. I’m 5’9 and my husband is 6 feet tall and it was pretty snug for two grown-ups to sleep. But maybe we’re spoiled coming from a California king back home lol. Thanks for the great stay! I would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

Sweet Little Backyard Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lee and Karen's place. Upon our arrival, we were met with chips and salsa on the counter, which was a very nice gesture for our growling stomachs. It was apparent that they put a lot of work into the backyard, we spent a lot of time out there. The heated pool was perfect for February and we loved the floats. We used the grill a lot, which made cooking easy. Cooking inside was easy too as they have a very well equipped kitchen. The location was right by the local Safeway, making ordering and picking up groceries easy shortly after we arrived. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We were able to meet Lee and Karen upon our departure and they are very nice people, very responsive. Will stay again when we come back to Phoenix!

Excellent for hiking and mountain biking

Stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute. Walking distance to south mountain and grocery / Starbucks. Hosts were phenomenal and the house was spacious with lots of room for lounging. We bought our little pup and he loved the huge yard. Highly recommend!

South Mountain Retreat

Lee and Karen were both excellent to work with. The home and property were spotless upon arrival. The back yard was perfect for the one night that we had Family over to relax after a very busy few days. We sat outside most of the time enjoying the yard and the sun. We would both highly recommend this property. Everything is within 10-15 minutes that you may need. Very enjoyable time for certain.

Great stay

Loved everything about the property, except for the lack of storage space and the proximity of the property being so close to a very busy intersection. The insulation on the side of the house closest to the intersection was great, so couldn't hear much exterior noise when inside. Property was very clean, decor wasn't our taste but it was cohesive. The hosts were AMAZING and the backyard was a dream! Wish the pool were heated to a bit warmer temperature with the outside temperature cooling down a bit this time of year, but we made it work. If we're in the neighborhood again, would definitely consider booking, as should you!

Great Tempe (Phoenix) Getaway

I have family and friends in the Tempe area and this house was in the perfect location for a 2 week visit. I appreciated that the garage was usable so my car didn't have to bake in the 115* sun. The pool was a must to combat the PHX heat and loved that it was fenced off but there was still a yard area accessible separate from the pool (my dogs are water obsessed). The house is very spacious, more than enough for me working from "home" and my 2 medium-sized dogs. Kitchen had everything you would need and there is a great grill outside. My only "complaint" is all of the beds are very high/tall. I'm 5'4 and I wouldn't say it was a struggle to get in to bed, but it wasn't as easy as most hotel beds and could be an issue for someone with a physical disability or ailment. Lee and Karen were great hosts. They were very communicative ahead of my stay, checked in when I arrived and then reached out to let me know about some fruit growing on the property that I could help myself to (the tomatoes were delicious). Fortunately, there wasn't anything I 'needed' to contact them about during my stay but I don't doubt that if something unexpected happened they would be very engaged to remedy the situation

A true palace

Everything thing went really smooth from the start. Lee was great to deal with during booking and throughout. The home was very clean, well equipped with everything one could need. Everything was perfect. The house was spotless. The yard is gorgeous. The swimming pool is the best one we’ve ever been to. It’s gated around it so perfect for families stocked with everything you could wish for the host are awesome to deal with couldn’t ask for a better vacation. Thank you again for everything.

Amazing Desert Retreat

This house was amazing. It was exactly as listed with all the amenities. The hosts were easy to contact, very accommodating and we thought it was so kind for them to call and check in with us when we arrived to make sure we were all settled and to see if we had any questions. The house itself is well maintained. Everything was clean and spotless upon our arrival. And the chips and Salsa were the perfect snack. It took no time at all to feel like we were at home. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you would need to make anything between a small snack to a holiday meal. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The outdoor space is AMAZING! Our family enjoyed the heated pool and the grassy areas to play games or sunbathe. The yard is well maintained and it was so great to hear the birds chirping in the morning while we enjoyed our morning coffee. The beautiful bright flowers attracted hummingbirds and provided beautiful scenery. The house is in a quiet residential neighbourhood that is walking distance to some great hiking. We also loved that the grocery store was very close. All in all this was the perfect getaway for our family. We were able to relax and enjoy the weather and not be stepping on eachother all the time!
