The house was in a great location and the inside was pretty clean, but we were disappointed when we checked into the house to find the AC had been out for what must have been a long time. All 4 emergency phone numbers listed did not pick up and no way to leave a voicemail. I desperately texted all the numbers to try to get some response.
I donât like leaving bad reviews and hurting a small business (which it doesnât sound like this even is a small business). It looks like itâs run by a person, but Iâm pretty sure itâs going to some Rental LLC given the lack of response and confusion around who I was even communicating with regarding the AC.
The fact that the AC was not working, and it was ultimately up to us to fix it on a 100 degree plus day, was ridiculous. Not one support number answered their phone that was listed on the property which is unacceptable. I had to text to get anywhere, and the only person who I could talk to was VRBO customer support. I gave the homeowner/manager and opportunity to make things right, but that escalated and was really unprofessional. I really hate complaining, but what I hate even more is feeling like I wasted my money and made my friends and family uncomfortable by booking this place that lacked reliable AC, responsive management, and a hygienic pool.
