Room was clean only stayed 2 nights ex-wife was having surgery at Duke which was a 5 minute ride away but if you want fresh towels you have to bring used ones to the office there was damage to bathroom door, front door molding look like is was kicked in and desk look like is was ripped from the wall but otherwise it was a quiet place

This hotel was terrible!! The room was not ready and the room they gave me was disgusting, dirty. It had a terriable smell. The front desk call me Saturday afternoon and asked me if i wanted another room but it will be ready at night. I told them no because I was already at my daughter graduation plus there was no point because I was checking out the next morning.
I had to pay $250 a night for this hotel due to a nearby college graduation. It was ridiculous. When we checked in, we were given a key to a room that had not been cleaned. The front desk was accommodating and gave us a new room. However, it was not clean and it smelled. There was hair in the bathtub, toothpaste in the sink, and black flecks of something on the bathroom door. I understand that the facilities may be managed by a corporate office, but a clean room is within the control of the people who run this hotel. I would not recommend staying here.
My handicapped room was malodorous and sticky. The sink light did not work. The fan in the bathroom was incredibly noisy as was the AC. The towels and soap were like prisoner supplies. The baseboards and floor were all bashed up. The room has not had new carpet or paint it appears for years. It had a very high ICK factor. They made you sign some no smoking agreement you needed a microscope to read.
The handicap accessories in the bathroom were broken and the shower rod was pulled away from wall and hand held shower sprayer water everywhere The door to the connected room was spotty with different color paint Area outside the door was littered with bottle tops and trash

Average Motel/Hotel
Average Hotel/Motel. Mildew smell and mildew in the bathroom. Beds were rough but you get what you pay for I guess.
An adequate back up plan when Chapel Hill hotels are mostly sold out but this hotel is very basic and dated with some minor maintenance issues. Coffee is available in the mornings in the lobby but it tends to run out and not be refilled. There is no hair dryer in the room but one can be borrowed at the desk if available. It is just off the highway so there is road noise. No elevator but it’s not very tall. Well-insulated windows do a good job even when ice crystals form on them outside. It has a picnic table in a stand of trees but I didn’t feel comfortable sitting outside there. People were loitering outside the time I considered it, and the road noise keeps that from seeming peaceful.
