Very relaxing weekend in a quiet, secluded area cabin. We all slept well, destressed with hiking not to faraway, great meals we could prepare in the kitchen, and gluten free pizza just down the road for when we wanted a break from cookingwe would recommend, again!
Good Property location overall, couldâve been cleaner
It was a good stay overall. The property was beautiful. Cleanliness was an issue though. The night of our arrival, we noticed some major spots missed by the cleaner. The floor and stairs were not swept, mold on both of the shower curtains as well as hair all over the shower. Also some of the pillows had what appeared to be blood stains and dried up boogers. Apart from that we had a great time!! Would definitely recommend bring an suv or bigger, the road was a bit rough going into the property!
The property is in a convenient location and the space is nice. The cleanliness wasnât fantastic and property management was unhelpful with a couple minor issues we had. Not bad, but, not the greatest either.
The cabin was amazing! It was quiet and peaceful there! i do recommend adding some fresheners though because when we did enter it had a weird smell, but nothing that I consider âbadâ! thank you for having us!!
It was just what I was looking for for my stay in the Red River Gorge area. It was rustic but had all the amenities. However, the road to get to it could use some maintenance. Definitely, need 4 wheel drive!!!
While the drive to the property can be a bit treacherous especially at night we were able to safely navigate there and out without the need for a 4 wheel drive. The cabin itself was excellent and the location canât be beat! It isnât pictured but if you head out the back door there is a way to access the river/creek down the hillside just be aware it can be a bit of a scramble especially if it was raining recently. The scenery is gorgeous and we enjoyed being able to watch the sunrise from the hot tub in the morning! This cabin was great for my friends and I on a spring break getaway/hiking trip and I highly recommend it to anyone considering staying in the RRG area! The memories weâve made here are ones weâll never forget and we are already planning to return next year! (One small note you may want to consider adding wasp spray to your packing list as we did notice quite a few in the area but it wasnât anything too awful)
We only stayed one night between two days of hiking but it was just what we needed. The hot tub was wonderful, the place was clean, and being tucked back in the beautiful woods felt very cozy and quiet. The road to get in was a bit more treacherous than anticipated! Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of small things like the bathtub faucet coming off the wall, igniter on the grill not working, and Iâve enjoyed better stocked kitchens - really could use some more pans/skillets. Trying to cook pancakes, eggs, and meat for breakfast for our group was difficult with the couple small pans provided. Overall, I would recommend and would stay again!
This cabin is beautiful and private, we couldn't have been more comfortable during our trip. Close proximity to everything you could want to see or do.
It was a great location hidden back in the woods with lots of privacy. Ran into a few issues with the gas grill not working and a dead mouse in a trap that was left in the backyard. The screen door to the back was missing and found propped-up outside and broken. I will say that management offered to fix both the grill and door, but it was more inconvenient to do so. We worked around it and had a really wonderful time.
This property checked all our boxes for our family getaway to a new location. It had plenty of individual space for all 6 of us. We loved the location as it was close to many of the things on our bucket list. We totally enjoyed cooking every meal in the kitchen, on the grill & over an open fire. It was a great 4 days!
My friends and I really enjoyed the cabin. Itâs located in such a lovely area. Wonderful backyard, we enjoyed the picnic table and the fire pit. Only real con is that we wished the back screen door was working!
The cabin was not very clean. The sheets and pillowcases and comforter had a bad smell. They smelled like dogs had been sleeping there. We had to wash all sheets and pillowcases. The vents had a lot of dog hair especially in the back bedroom and bathroom
Loved our stay! We'd love to return for a week in the summertime in the future. Fun place to stay with a family for a quiet wilderness getaway. Fast access to Red River Gorge hiking and Gorge Underground.
Our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children ages 3-12) stayed two nights over Easter weekend. The drive up was very doable in our minivan. The home was great for us and we really appreciated the outdoor space. The solo stove, hammock, and hot tub were all a hit. There is a trail behind the house that leads down to a creek. It is short but very steep. The cabin had walking sticks available for us and the trail was manageable for everyone in our group. WiFi worked really well and overall we were very comfortable. Anytime we reached out with questions we always had very quick response. We look forward to staying again sometime!
Had a great time even with some rainy weather. Only thing a small issue (not a deal breaker or bad review moment) the grillWasnt operational missing igniter button. The other bbq grill was missing a leg. Otherwise great time.
Cabin is as pictured, located at the end of the road / gated for privacy. There is so many places to hike and tour. From the natural bridge, exploring the Gorge Underground, eating pizza at Miguels and visiting the local coffee shop. Fire pit and hot tub made for a relaxing evening.
