Our house is a traditional Quercy farmhouse which has been renovated to high standard and decorated with taste very much in keeping with the old stone walls, tiled floors and exposed beams. The river Dordogne flows past the quiet and peaceful village and a stunning pebble beach can be reached by foot. This is one of the most historically interesting areas of France and all the major attractions are within a short drive from the house: the medieval towns of Sarlat ad Rocamadour, the whole of the Dordogne valley, as well as some of France's most beautiful villages. The house is ideal for two families wishing to share a holiday without compromising on privacy. Each bedroom is equipped with a separate bathroom and wc. A small village shop provides groceries, bread and croissants and major supermarkets are only 5km away in Souillac, a small market town with cafes and restaurants.
There are numerous activities on offer in the region - Canoeing is a major activity , and gives you the opportunity to take in the stunning scenery. It can be done with children in the summer, as the river is shallow and slow flowing - perfect for beginners.
Golf, tennis and horse-riding are also available within 5km.
The region is famed for its gastronomy and you will find a wide range of restaurants in the surrounding towns and villages.
The swimming pool is entirely enclosed and also has an alarm for the security of small children. The garden is also very secluded and closed on all sides.
