Great house, great host, wonderful island

This is a beautifully decorated and comfortable home in a perfect spot about 100 yards from the beach or docks. We loved the kitchen/family room where we could all be together while prepping meals and in the late evenings. We ate in the screened in porch (really important given the big situation in late July) with a beautiful view and played family games in the late afternoon during quick storms.This host is wonderful. Warm, responsive and generous. We had the pleasure of meeting her on our way into the island and you can tell she truly cares about your experience, the island and sharing it with others. The house is well stocked and has pretty much all you need for your stay which is important because there’s no where to grab them from in a pinch. LGI is a dream of you’re looking for a (semi, you still have internet and cell service) complete break from the busyness and distractions of mainland. The natural beaches are glorious and filled with shells and wildlife - with very few people to distract. Don’t miss the glorious sunsets on the beach, which was my favorite part of our stay. The people on the island are also wonderful and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the folks at the golf cart rental place who were kind and really helpful to my elderly parents. The meal planning and groceries require some pre thought as there are no stores on the island although groceries can be delivered which is helpful and I’d recommend having them delivered

So Amazing!

Hands down one of my favorite weeks at the beach! Barefoot Bungalow was perfect for our group. Very spacious and plenty of room for sleeping. It is super convenient to the beach and close to the bay. We loved the screened porch and having two living room spaces. The beach at LGI was more beautiful than I imaged! We collected shells, hunted for sharks teeth and watched the amazing sunsets daily! The home was beautiful and had everything that we could possibly need with the exception of a cookie sheet & muffin pans. Pirates water taxi was easy to book and super friendly. We also had a golf cart meet us at the dock to help get our groceries and luggage to the house! We will definetly return to the Barefoot Bungalow! ***only negative about LGI is the mosquitos! Bring Skin So Soft and other bug sprays and you will be fine.

Perfect!

Our week long, multi-family vacation was fantastic! The location of the house was ideal- a super easy walk to both the beach and dock. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. What a wonderful holiday!! We will undoubtedly return.

LGI Spring Break

Our family had a wonderful time staying at LGI. This was a great property in the middle of the island with a short walk to the beach or dock. The house was updated nicely and had a great outdoor living area. We look forward to staying here again.

A nice staycation

Nice clean cottage with plenty of room. It was a very short walk from the dock and to the beach. The dock was very convenient with lighting and fresh water for rinse/flush. Plenty enough kitchen utensils, etc. but could use with a few more wine glasses. Just right for a short vacation close to home.

A perfect stay!

We visit LGI several times a year. This is one of the only rentals we have booked that was very clean, well maintained, and perfect for our needs. The two separate living rooms and large screen porch was a bonus. Having a less than 1 minute walk to the beach AND the dock was awesome. It was a great rental and we cannot wait to come back.

Loved this house!

Great house and location! The dogs loved the deck, the outdoor shower was amazing, plenty of space to host a dinner with friends who were staying nearby. Fairly close to the dock where the water taxi drops you off; an even shorter walk to get to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

I loved it. We plan on going back. The only thing I didn't fully understand when I booked it is that you are on an island. only way to get there is by boat. Which I didn't mined at all. It was a great time if you want to hang. :)

Wonderful Family Getaway

Property worked out perfectly for our family of six with children between the ages of 2-9. We rented a boat to get to and from the island and to fish during our stay and the walk to the house from the shared dock was short and manageable, even with four small children. It was also a short walk to the beach. The outdoor shower was great for washing the sand off before going into the house and the screened porch was nice for eating meals and enjoying the peace and quiet of the island. The house is stocked with everything you could need during your stay besides groceries, which we picked up on the mainland before heading to the island. We all enjoyed the beach and the kids loved the abundance of shells. The slow pace of the island was amazing and we had an excellent time! Would definitely stay here again!

The house was clean and so close to the beach. We had such a good time! Everyone was super friendly. When shuttling to the island from the airport, use Salty Girls transportation. They set up the water taxi and made getting groceries so easy! We will be doing this vacation again!

Wonderful. Relaxing. Just What We Needed.

Vivian's place is absolutely wonderful. Everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing stay is included in the house. You only need to bring clothes, maybe a book (if reading is your thing), and have a method to get groceries to the house. The three beds (which were very comfortable) in the house provided plenty of comfortable sleeping areas for the three of us during our stay. Vivian was very quick to respond to any of our questions about the house, the island, or transportation needs before and during our stay. The 2-3 minute walk to the beach from the house was wonderful. The outdoor shower was perfect for us to either rinse off the day or welcome the morning. We will be coming back!

Amazing Island getaway

Impeccably clean well-maintained home with loads of amenities and desirable features. We had everything we needed plus much more! The most relaxing weekend! Found loads of shark teeth, rented and had a wonderful day kayaking, even caught a couple fish :-). Scheduling and traveling by pirates taxi was slight challenge but would not deter us from coming again or recommending.

Loving Island Time!

Spending time on Little Gasparilla was a real treat if you enjoy beautiful sunrises & sunsets. Fabulous walks on the beach enjoying the smell & breeze of the salty seas. The beach bungalow offers all the amenities you need for an opportunity to totally relax while on the island. This bungalow is a very short walk to the beach or the dock. Really no need to rent a golf cart from this location since everything you need is in walking distance. To top off the trip, as we are avid boaters - we rented a boat that was delivered to our dock from "weekly boat rentals". We had a fantastic time boating to several island destinations. Keep in mind if you do not rent a boat - contact "Pirate Water taxi" to make you way to the island! Remember - your on a remote island - be prepared to get all your groceries - cocktail items - beach wear etc. We made fantastic memories!
