This location is on a street in Plaquemine that features a railroad track running down the middle of it. When the train comes through town, which was about every 30 minutes all night long, itâs no more than 20-30 yards from your window. To make it worse, this property is on the corner of an intersection so the train lays on its horn while passing through. It kept us up all night. We ended up leaving at 7:00pm on the 2nd night and booked a hotel in Lafayette so we could sleep. Itâs a gorgeous room with a convenient coffee shop next door and an amazing Mexican restaurant one block away.
