The fireplace, kitchen, hot tub, and cleanliness were on point. The home is secluded with convenient proximity to Ludlow. However, the furniture, bedding, and towels haven't been replaced in long time. You can feel the use. Generally uncomfortable. And for the price, would expect better than roadside motel quality towels and bedding.
Everything was great, but plugs in both bathrooms did not work, which made getting ready a challenge. Leaving a light on would help when arriving in the dark with the amount of stairs going to the front door. Other than that, we had a fabulous time.
My group of 4 adults and 2 small children enjoyed our stay at the property. Check in was easy. The space was very clean, the house was in a relatively convenient location to Ludlow, Echo Lake and some nice hikes but it also felt very secluded and peaceful. Iâd stay again if I was in the area.
Great house! Small issue with getting into the place with the keybox, but was quickly resolved. We had a great time, it was so comfy, great place to come home after a long day of skiing, exploring, etc. Lots of room to spread out with the family and nighttime hot tub soaks in the cold air were so refreshing!
My wife and I stayed with my daughter, herr husband and my 7month old grandaughter,. beautiful house and surroundings. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.
We loved the mountain cabin. We stayed for 3 weeks and were very comfortable. The cabin was beautiful and well-equipped with everything we needed. The area is peaceful, scenic, and a perfect location in Vermont to drive to waterfalls, hiking trails, sightseeing, and fishing. We had a great time!
We truly had an amazing time on our family vacation. The property was clean, well stocked and centrally located. Each day we chased waterfalls and hiked nearby trails. Girls enjoyed the hot tub each morning and evening followed by roasting marshmallows:)
We decided to take a last-minute trip to Vermont for a reboot, and to sneak in some last-minute skiing. The house is a perfect distance between Killington and Okemo Mountains. There is not much around, so I would be sure to bring your groceries with you when driving through the other larger towns. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5, more would be getting tight.
The hot tub was great for relaxing and plenty of firewood to enjoy the fireplace.
My only CC, it was a bit more than we wanted to spend for the house for the time of year. I do wish there were some blankets for the couch or some towels for the hot tub available. Coffee or tea in the panty would have been nice. There were towels for showering but super small.
Overall, it was a positive experience and enjoyed it.
This house key all of our expectations. Everything was clean. All of the essentials for cooking were present. Including a variety of spices and oils. It was a short trip between Killington and Okemo. There is also Coolidge State park a short drive away that provides tons of trails. The hot tub was great.
The home would be very nice if it was in proper working order.
It is located in a quiet spot on a dirt road which is nice if you have the right vehicle to enjoy it.
But sadly for our stay, this house did not come through.
For one - there is no cell service whatsoever (for Verizon) anywhere nearby. We had absolutely no wifi or landline telephone service either for 95% of our stay (Friday - Sunday). This issue was not fixed until 8pm the evening before we departed. Had there been an emergency we would have not been able to do anything but get in the car and drive somewhere which is concerning.
We booked this home because it advertised strong wifi, a wood fireplace and a hot tub! This was booked as a celebratory weekend for a birthday where we expected to relax in the hot tub after each day of skiing, enjoy a fire and then watch a show together as a family.
The hot tub was 66 degrees when we arrived Friday evening and did not reach temperature until Saturday morning. No one bothered to set it early enough for our stay to actually enjoy it. Additionally this house does not provide fire wood. So if you choose to stay here, buy wood. Come prepared. It does not state that you need to bring wood, but if you want a fire in the fireplace, buy wood in town.
This home could have been a great retreat to relax after a day of skiing nearby, but sadly was not worth the price whatsoever. We called (once in town with cell service) the property managers 4 times throughout Friday evening - Sunday and little was done to fix the issues.
