Lovely spacious well equipped property with an excellent view from the balcony over the bay. Very well situated for a 10/15 min walk to the town centre. Good off road parking for two largish cars.
The location was great -- walked to restaurants and activities in the harbor. Big benefit was the outdoor space -- patio with table for cards/games and balcony for enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine looking out over the harbor.
Communication could have been better -- long wait for response prior to visit. Had a problem that was resolved completely but had to call more than once to get help.
Lovely view
short walk to loads of restaurants
hellish creaky stairs
no door on upstairs lavatory
under equipped kitchen for 6 people expected to cook breakfast with an omelette pan ,we bought a cheap frying pan from Wilkos
loverly house, only 3 problems no ironing board, and no washer/drier only a washing machine, we also phoned the owner, left a message but they did not return the call, other than that a loverly stay, very relaxing
Lovely house and location. Very convenient for all that Poole Harbour has to offer including access to the park. Great pathway to walk along the sea/harbour front. The house is spacious and has fab views from a balcony overlooking the harbour plus a small but pretty outdoor space.
We found the property was very clean throughout, and well presented.
The location had a nice view of the bay, and was only a very short walk to center. Off road parking was good.
I would definitely recommend this owner and property. And will use it again when we visit the area.
The property was in a excellent location with views over Poole harbour. It is walking distance of cafes bars and restaurants. The property was very clean but tired in places. There was a lovely vase of flowers on our arrival and we arrived early but was able to park up and explore the resort.
The kitchen was tired with door handles missing. There was no champagne flutes which was such a shame. The ensuite shower cubicle was stiff and we were afraid of shutting in case we broke it.
Overall we had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our stay.
After our holiday to Italy was cancelled we were looking around to see what dregs were left on the UK market. We stumbled on this absolute gem! Perfect location, beautiful views, lovely house - what more can you want! Oh I know- a very welcome and gracious host! Stephanie was wonderful, thank you so much. I canât recommend this holiday home enough!
The only thing the property had going for it was the view. The couch in the lounge only comfortably seated 2 people due to the curve of the sofa. Not sure how long the property had been on the renting market, but the kitchen was sparse in utensils and cooking pans. We had to buy our own to bake a casserole. The mattresses in all 3 bedrooms were terrible, even after sleeping on top of duvets. The king bed is actually two single beds pushed together. The double is an annex room with no natural lighting or Windows - the room is off the dinning room in the conservatory. The house is not well insulated as it was either too hot or extremely cold, very difficult to get a constant temperature even with the heating on constant. The sensor for the stair lights was on and off every 5 mins. No hooks on doors in the bedrooms to hang up dressing gowns and no rails in the bathrooms to hang up towels, either hand or bath towels. No bath mats. No hair dryer. There was no welcome folder with all the instruction manuals and places to visit. The water tank was not constant hot water and had to wait for it to fill. The property gave the feeling that either just started renting out or about to stop rentals, as even the basics were minimal. I feel bad giving this review as Stephanie was very helpful, but as I have done many of these through different rental websites, I feel I have fair knowledge of what is expected. I would think twice about renting a cottage again throug HomeAway.
A wonderful holiday in a beautiful house with breaktaking views - thank you.
Well, what can I say. Cannot recommend this property highly enough. It's in the perfect location with gorgeous views all day long. Great to see the activity in the marina/harbour and it's literally a stone's throw from the pubs, shops and restaurants. We experienced the fireworks which started on the evening of the 26th July and run every Thursday - we simply watched them from our balcony with a glass of wine. The house has everything you need - handwash, dishwasher tablets, towels - you just need your toiletries, clothes of course and food! Beautiful outside area too. It can be a little noisy in the mornings due to the fishing activity and boats coming in but we're not the sort to sleep in anyway. Comfy beds and very clean throughout - thank you to Steph for letting us stay in your beautiful Poole home.
Pleasant house with great views, but the balcony could do with an upgrade ,and towel rails in the bathrooms would be useful .
That said we loved it and had a great time
Good location and view but otherwise disappointing
The property is dressed to present a good first impression. The location is ideal for access to Poole town centre and the quay and offers great views across the harbour to Brownsea Island from the upstairs lounge and master bedroom. Views from the ground floor are to the small, enclosed courtyard garden, visible from the kitchen and the dining room that adjoins the downstairs double bedroom.
Overall, we found the property impractical and uncomfortable and so cut our stay short. In several respects, it did not meet our expectations for a holiday property in this price range.
Wonderful house & location, with amazing sea views
Everything about the house was great, especially the upstairs with the beautiful views and balcony. The house was very clean and comfortable. Restaurants, pubs, and shops were only a short stroll away, and there was plenty to sightsee only a short drive away. Studland, Knoll beach was stunning. Wonderful trip all round, would book again / highly recommend to others.
Thank you very much Stephanie - we all loved our stay at Sea Breeze.
The house is beautiful and really well stocked with everything you'll need. Location is superb with Poole a walk away and the amazing beaches on the doorstep. We travelled throughout the area and it was great to be able to come "home" each evening. There's a lovely outside area and balcony which is perfect for a sunny lunch.
Can't recommend Sea Breeze enough, wonderful
The house is in the perfect location to enjoy the best views of Poole Bay and enjoying walking in Harbourside Park and Poole Park (which also has an excellent cafe and activities.) Walking a circular route through both parks early each morning, seeing the sun rise, made the holiday for me; it's beautiful. The house couldn't be closer to the quayside and its pubs and restaurants. We'd recommend Bingley's Bistro & Da Vinci's, both family run and, a little further away at Sandbanks, Rick Stein's harbourview restaurant is superb for the food, the service and the view. The shops are also close by, though the quality of shopping available in Poole wasn't great - on the other hand, it gives the credit card a rest. The house itself provides great views from the first floor balcony and sitting room, and a comfortable & relaxing place to spend time. The conservatory has a good size table for meals and board/card games. All in all a great place for a holiday.
The house is in a very good condition, everything you need is there. The view onto the sea is great. We loved every minute of our two-weeks-stay.
Sue is such a friendly landlady. She welcomed us with flowers and lots of fruits. The children loved her from the first moment on.
We will come back!
