Very old/outdated and need of some serious repairs and refurbishment. No table or lounge type chairs. Bathroom hand basin was very damaged. Bathroom fan could not be turned off so ran all day/night. Holes in walls and covered with sticky paper. Beds were comfortable and shower was good. I would not ever stay here again. Cost us $180.00 per night for three adults which would have been ok if the unit had been at an acceptable level condition.!!!

Staff went above and beyond. The lady with red hair and her granddaughter were professional, kind, courteous, informative and exemplary customer service. My mam and I were visiting from Australia and booked a room last minute when there were road closures due to flooding. Just Amazing 👏

Fron the time we pulled up to book in we were greeted with smiles and the mist friendliest staff. Just amazing and she made it her point to know me by first name bassist love that. Although their is major constructions going on we still loved our stay 1st ones to sleep in those beds 😁 and were so comfortable. Everything was brand new ✨️ water was super hot, over all loved our 4 night stay cost was really good to and the brought in extra chairs for my guests i didn't even ask🫠. Just amazing i so will recommend family and friends to stay there. Thank you staff at Aotea Lodge Poriura absolutely loved our stay and all guys hospitality 5 stars 🌟 all the way😀.

The Lodge was 5 mins drive within all Supermarkets and Restaurants. Same timeframe to waterpront. Very convient for us. Very clean, new towels & toiletries daily. Reception Lady very cautious and helpful.We would definitely stay there again.

It's good value for the money you spend. The lady at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The room was almost brand new and well equipped kitchen facilities and great comfy beds. We would definitely recommend.

We really liked the front desk woman she was wonderful ,however they had run out of milk and were going to get us some but none arrived ,to be fair we were only there for one night so not a big deal . The property is in dire need of some ongoing maintenance ,ie walls where fixtures have been moved have holes in , carpet and mats ragged in places ,entry doors and windows to rooms have not been cleaned since goodness’s knows when .

Great location, easy to get to. Arrived late, was told to find key in our unlocked room. This worked well. Could be a super motel if managment tidy up little things like removing carpet stains, cleaned up walls and paint falling off the bathroom ceiling. Other than this place was really clean.
