Of the many homes that we have rented over the last 40 years, this has been our favorite one yet. The home is absolutely perfect for large families. The family room and kitchen are perfect and spacious as well. It was fully stocked with just about everything that you need to prepare large meals. Ice maker does not work so plan accordingly. The beds are comfortable and plenty of linens and towels. The only thing that would make this home even better would be having access to the lift. We have rented homes with a lift and it is really appreciated for us grandparents when we have a weeks worth of groceries and such to bring up. The owner was a delight to work with 
 he answered any questions I had and made our check in perfectly seamless. We had and wonderful time and made many new memories with our family. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This was a great home with everything and everyone on one floor. Interior deco was beautifully done. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our family. Large living, dining and kitchen for all of us to gather and visit. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, but not for a large group. Outdoor deck and chairs were wonderful to sit, visit and view ocean. Outside downstairs would be wonderful for entertaining and visiting in the summer months. There were only a few things that would help to make this home an excellent place for a large family to stay (including grandparents to the smallest of grandchildren). To have the outside lift available to bring up supplies and suitcases. Even if the lift access would cost extra dollars. Safety rails for all showers and tub/showers. We did not fill comfortably standing in showers (all over 65 yrs old). Also, most pots for cooking were very worn and should be replaced. There was not a large pot for boiling water for pasta or potatoes. (We had to use 3 small pots) Overall the house is wonderful and clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent rental! Very clean home with most essentials. The only thing we couldn’t find was a mop to clean any spills. The broom was broken and we couldn’t find a dustpan. WiFi signal was not the strongest but it was ok with our cell phones. Very roomy showers and tubs. Porch had plenty of seating to enjoy the view and breeze.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay, the home was really clean, plenty of space for our big family, and we loved all the counter space in the kitchen! We had one year olds up to teens and it was great to let them play on the deck and in the house and not worry about stairs, and the deck had a gate and lots of seating! The bunk room had full size beds and it was a great space for the teens! There was a lot of thought put into this home, we really hope to stay again someday!

Nice Christmas Time

The stay at the Diamond of the Dunes was excellent as it had everything necessary for a comfortable vacation. Our group of five families, a total of 20 people (11 adults and 9 children), celebrated a beautiful Christmas! The spaces in the house are spacious, the rooms are comfortable, and the kitchen is very large for cooking as a group. The balcony around the house is wonderful for great conversations with family since it has many comfortable chairs. The parking area is very spacious, and our 7 cars had enough room to unload our belongings!The weather wasn't in our favor, as there were some storms and rain during our stay, but it didn’t stop the kids from swimming and playing on the beach, nor the adults to walk along its shore. The charcoal grill was a plus for feeding the crew on the 3rd day; in Texas, every day is perfect for a barbecue! Something they should update is the cooking pots, as they are very worn out, and there are no medium-sized ones. Apart from that, the kitchen is very well equipped.

Weekend stay

Property was perfect. Lots of space and had everything you could need. Very nice and updated. Great communication. Perfect for a group and plenty of parking. Short walk to the beach, which you can see from the balcony area. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for families

We stayed with 4 families, with a total of 18 people! It was a perfect size!! The common area was spacious and a great kitchen for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner in. Just a short walk to the beach!

We loved the dunes!

Absolutely loved this new, beautiful home. Very spacious for the size of crowd we had. Fully stocked with everything you could think of. Great communication with the owners. Highly recommend this home for your stay.

We had a great time. This house fit our 6 kids and 8 adults well. (Could have fit a few more). Communication was great, and the location is just a short walk to the beach. Having everything on one level in the house is a big plus for us. Only reason for 4 stars in stead of 5 is that we weren’t allowed to use the lift. That is not part of the listing, so it was communicated, but would have been nice to have the option. Even for a couple more $s. Would stay again, and would recommend to family and friends.

Celebrating

We celebrated not only the New Year but also our son in law’s birthday. Even though the weather gave us fog all weekend, the weather was nice and this beach house was perfect. Nice large kitchen/family area. The bedrooms were great with enough bathrooms for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the walk to the beach was very short! Property was very clean. We all loved our time!

Very accommodating.

This was my family 2nd time staying at this house. It slept the 16 of us VERY comfortably. 13 adults and 3 kids. It's in a great location. The area is quiet and peaceful. We had a small issue late in the evening and they were very responsive and helpful. 5 Stars. Definitely will be returning. Very accommodating.

Fun in the 🌞 sun with my family.

Great experience just was a little complicated getting everything confirmed for us to stay. The week of booking i am not to good with emails but tio a week to get it all worked out .. The house was wonderful but I Felt like I didn't want to touch anything Or sit on anything because you felt like you were going to break it or do something wrong. Lots and lots of rules got emails about the do nots and all the rules about the house from the Toes that will be counted the people that come in will be counted .. and the book on table That tells you What to expect from leaving And how to leave the place And then I got another email about that . . I understand people are vary ungrateful and you have to do this but at the same time it is hard too relax and injoy your self in the house. But I did in joy my grandkids all together that's the main thing. Thank you for letting me stay in a Beautiful home... sorry that I felt overwhelmed with all the details and considerations with the home . But thank you for a great weekend.

Above average property below average eateries

The house was very nice, clean and spacious. The location of the property relative the the beach is in walking distance for persons in decent shape. If you don’t mind the Trump signs and/or confederate flags being flown around by beach goers and some local residents then you will have fun. The downside to the location of the property is the lack of restaurants, night clubs and-the-like. Cellular service was spotty to say the least but all around my family and I had fun despite the things we didn’t find.
