Great place to stay on the North Island!

Very friendly staff, rooms on the smaller side but clean and modern. The pub was lively during the ball game and really fun. I wish they had a pool and hot tub! Even a small one.

It took a long time to check in as there was no one at the front desk. They have a bell. When I went to ring it, the person in front of me told me "I have have already rang it, but no one showed you. It was only when I rang the bell in an annoying manner someone showed up. I asked the front desk when I arrived if they had an iron. I was told - no they don't. I called the front desk the next morning and asked if they had an iron, they stated yes they do. I Left a the hotel's card on my door asking for maid service, but my room never got made up. I went to the restaurant on site, I took a long time before I got served. I tried to flag down one of the servers. She just walked by and said bruskley. "Your server will be with you shortly".

Hi there, I’m a business traveller who comes through or will be coming through fairly often and it was my first day at the hotel. Overall, the room was very nice and comfortable. Everything is clean and well kept the one complaint I have which might seem small, but for a woman with long hair was very big that there was no conditioner.. There was shampoo and soap and lotion, but no conditioner which for someone like me added an extra 45 minutes onto my morning I didn’t think to travel with that because even the very basic motels provide shampoo and conditioner. I don’t know if this was an oversight, but I highly recommend that you have conditioner if you’re going to attract business travellers who are in a hurry in the mornings. Everything else was great, but this one thing would cause me to choose a different hotel in the future. Thank you.

We booked 2 rooms as our daughter and son-in-law came with us. They had to change rooms as their bed sheets were dirty. We had no screen on our window and had to have a cold shower in the morning as there was no hot water. We did enjoy a lovely meal in the restaurant.

The front desk staff were amazing, as were the beautiful rooms! Beds and shower were great, room clean, and the check in process pleasant. There is a small gallery upstairs that is worth a visit, and the connected pub has great breakfast options. I checked in around 1am after getting off the ferry from Prince Rupert, and would highly recommend staying here if you're in Port Hardy!

Only criticism is that the cleaners need to do a better job cleaning the shower. There was quite a bit of pink surface mildew in the shower that could be easily wiped off.
