Very nice stay with super helpful and friendly staff. My wife and I both like this hotel and its selection of food offerings. The room was nice, clean and very comfortable also. The help from the Concierge staff was appreciated very much and the trustworthy taxi driver booked was very good (Shelby). My only gripe (and why I did not give excellent five star score) is that the WiFi is buggy and keeps dropping off unless you are in the main hotel areas. My plans to work peacefully without distraction in my room were thwarted by this issue. This is the second room I have stayed in at this hotel this year where room WiFi was poor to non-existent. This needs to be fixed.

The Lamana Hotel was a great experience. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very professional. The dining options were great and the Gold Club was very enjoyable. Parking was available. The Vision City shopping mall was nearby. I would definitely recommend the Lamana Hotel.

the best hotel in Port Moresby. With a gym, swimming pool, and nightclub, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Great staff. I need to give a big thanks to all of them, especially Sean, the security guard, and the bus driver, Api. This hotel offers free pickupand drop-off to the airport. That's a hotel I will be staying at again if I come to Port M.

レセプションの人は新人だったようで、対応が遅く不満でしたが、コンシェルジュはいい人でした。 ショッピングモールまでは、20キナのタクシーを進められましたが、徒歩７分程度で行けるので、明るいうちならば、歩いていいと思います。

The rooms were clean and tidy. Ground staff and securities were excellent. The cleaners did an amazing job keeping the rooms and yards clean everyday . It was quite windy and they did amazingly well in sweeping the leaves off the stairs and footpaths. I only had an issue with the front desk staff. I had paid for three rooms on the day we checked in 05/09/25 and two days into our stay I was told that I hadn't paid for one of the rooms yet. I explained to the front desk staff that I paid for all three rooms upon checking in but they insisted I hadn't paid. I even showed them that my account was debited on check in day and I had receipts to prove it. After all the back and forth the issue was resolved. In future I would suggest that staff do a thorough check before accusing guests for non payments.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Lamana Hotel. What was meant to be a relaxing time with my female friends turned into an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Staff Conduct & Discrimination: We were treated poorly simply because we were women. Staff were dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful throughout our stay. It was clear we weren’t being taken seriously, and requests that should have been standard were either ignored or met with attitude. To make matters worse, we witnessed bribery among the staff—offering “special treatment” or faster service to certain guests who paid extra under the table. Meanwhile, we were left waiting or overlooked entirely. Safety & Comfort: As a group of women, we didn’t feel safe or respected. The environment was unwelcoming, and at times intimidating. No guest—especially female guests—should have to feel this way in a place that claims to offer hospitality. Overall Experience: The service was poor, the staff lacked professionalism, and the culture of favoritism and sexism was deeply disappointing. Final Verdict: Lamana Hotel urgently needs staff training and a major shift in attitude toward female guests. I would not recommend this hotel to women travelers—there are better, safer, and more respectful options in Port Moresby
