First trip to Cape San Blas and it was wonderful.
The beach and surrounding area are beautiful.
We went to the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and spent the day there twice. Itâs absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, unspoiled, white beaches and clear, blue water.
The condo was clean, beautifully well furnished and comfortable. We loved sitting on the large porch with a beautiful view of the ocean.
Itâs an easy, short walk to the beach over the boardwalk. One day, we watched 8-10 dolphins swim and play for over a hour, really close to the shore.
The pool is very nice but it didnât have enough chairs/lounge chairs and the overall condo complex could use a good outside cleaning. This was mentioned to the property management company to relay to the HOA.
Some of the restaurants at Cape San Blas and in Port St. Joe that we liked:
- Quatro Locos Tacos and Cantina - delicious!
- PSJ Bar and Grill
- LongBillâs
- Brick Wall - best Shrimp & Grits that Iâve ever had
- Coneheads - delicious hush puppies
- The View on 98 ( also called The View at Port St. Joe. On Tuesdays, itâs Community Night where they have a fixed menu and fixed seating times. You get the salad bar, entree and dessert for $20pp.
- A local told us about this place when we were at Scallop RePUBlic (bar) down the road about a mile from the condo. Itâs a casual place where the locals go. They have lots of beer on tap and live music on certain nights.
