We absolutely made the right choice choosing this location. Wharf House is a wonderful old slate building right by the harbor. Not luxurious, but comfortable and homey. And the location is simply incredible. We came to see an event at the heritage railroad and were told to stay at the motel across the street from it. I'm so glad we didn't. While we MIGHT have gotten a view of the trains from the motel window, at Wharf House we had a private deck that let us watch the trains at the coaling dock. And it was a very short (and beautiful) walk to the station, making it easy to go back and forth all day. Wharf House was also a great place to begin a walk on the Welsh Coast trail in either direction. To the north are secluded beaches, to the south is the cob and Portmerion, all walkable.
