Very comfortable and the location is ideal. Great restuarants, bakeries, bars, etc all within a block or three. Well worth it but there are a couple downsides. It's an older house so creaky floors, and its located on a busy road. No matter, we would stay here again for sure.
I loved the food included, breakfast and more. There was even gluten free options. Beautiful house, great neighbourhood and the bed was so
comfortable! En suite bathroom was very clean and great lighting to do my makeup. Everyone was friendly, I highly recommended staying here.
Wonderful location on Division near great eating and fun shops. Walking distance to Hawthorne atop! Like a classic âbed and breakfast.â bonus for long stays: free washer and dryer! Friendly staff, comfy rooms (tho we were in the basement, not the best view).
The house is old and the stairs creak. I had a basement room and the noise was intrusive until about 11 pm. I would not stay there again because of this noise. They need to take remediative steps to make sure the steps and the floor do not make noise if they are renting basement rooms. I was very tired all day after trying to sleep there.
Great location nearest excellent eateries on Crossing Street and fun shops. Wonderful sweet room. Only complaints is there was this creepy light that shined over the bed for a few minutes when you turned out the light --super creepy and the people in the house above us came in very late, like 2am, creeking about so awoken and for some of us, it's hard to go back to sleep. Wash available if your mid trip and need to wash your things. Super convenient and cozy.
Great place. Right in the midfle of busy SE Portland. Close to so many great restaurants & bars. shops yet a respite from the clamor of the neighborhood. Great 24/7 breakfast/snack items. Quiet, cozy room & great batroom. Lovely, older decor. Staff was friendly. Bluebird Guesthouse was a real lifesaver during a difficult time in Portland.
Bluebird Guesthouse is exactly as described. I had an issue with my room as I thought I had booked a room with an en-suite bathroom (per Expedia message). However, upon check in this was not the case. Tiffany and Chris were so helpful and it worked out that a room with en-suite bathroom was available and they were able to move me over. I was so thankful for their help! Next time I will book directly through the property. Otherwise, they had great breakfast options readily available. Other guests was so respectful and quiet at appropriate hours. I was able to find street parking in the neighborhood. And there are so many fantastic restaurants, coffee and dessert shops within easy walking distance. I would stay here again.
This spot is super cozy and Portland-chic. The historic home is beautifully maintained with some great modern additions. I loved soaking in the claw foot tub!
We stayed for 8 days at the Bluebird Guesthouse. I really like staying in a house rather than a hotel. There is plenty of food available for breakfast in a real kitchen. It is nice to be in a quiet house with no radio or tv blaring. There is internet access, but we used it only as necessary. There is a bookcase with books and games in the living room. We played Scrabble and Bananagrams and had a hilarious time playing the Office trivia game.
We were in the Gabriel Marquez room, the room on the first floor with a fireplace room right outside it. It was spacious and clean.
The clawfoot tub was a bit difficult to climb in and out of, but the shower was good. The handle for the hot water is loose and fell off several times, but it still operated.
I would stay here again.
