This hotels attempt at being modern and minimalist just leaves you with a lack of amenities. If you want to pay hotel prices for a hostel style room then this is for you. If not then I'd choose many of the other hotel options in the area. The room has a nice bed but there are no closest, the shower has no door and no privacy and there is no restaurant or food services in this hotel... again it feels like a hostel or a college dormitory.

Location yes!

Great location, 5 min walk to Powells and 10 min walk to Providence Park. Fun, funky hotel with bar and food vendors right below. Valet was expensive, and we were there for a concert weekend so all the public lots were full. Only 2 elevators for over 10 story building, of course one was broken, so hotel workers had to let us into stairs. Hotel had white noise machine and ear plugs in our room for all that city noise.

The Moxy was a really fun place to stay! Friendly staff, great bar, great location, clean and a great value! I have already booked for my next Portland trip! Minuses: I am not used to sleeping on a soft-topped bed, but worse than that were the pillows- to large and fluffy. I am bringing my own next time!!!
