I was very pleased to find a pleasant centrally located place to stay with my two large dogs when I was relocating to Oregon. I am blind and this review process was difficult so hope I haven't checked something inadvertently which I didn't mean to. Boro, the owner, was always polite and respectful communicating, though I never met him.
The place was very clean! It was the perfect set up for my month long stay awaiting the birth of a grandchild. I was able to shop close by and do freezer meal preps for my kids. Another great thing was the parking space right at the foot of the steps up to the apartment. My biggest challenge was the pot waffling into the apartment a couple times. I'm not a pot smoker and it was overwhelming at times. Leaving the windows open didnât help. Would i stay there again? Yes
This unit was within walking distance of restaurants, food trucks, the Tri-Met, and entertainment. The neighborhood and complex were very quiet. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, and the small covered porch was a great place to read or enjoy a happy hour. Very pet friendly with a dedicated area for dogs.
OMG this was a very beautiful relaxing and well kept location perfect for older adults felt like home close to stores and easy to adventurous people neighbors were polite and friendly very quite no loud or rowdyness my soul was so relaxed
The owner answered all our questions.
The apartment overall was clean, close enough to different businesses, had it's own parking spot, laundry on site, and a dog run. The instructions for using the laundry were incorrect, but was quickly remedied when I contacted the host. The apartment does have an alarm system, which I put on for extra security, however was not given the code, which resulted in the alarm going off when my spouse tried to leave the apartment. I feel if our stay would have been improved if we were allowed to use the alarm system so we had peace of mind when we left the apartment.
We stayed here for a week while our landlord remodeled the bathroom and Iâm so happy we did! Everything was super clean and very homey, probably the most comfortable bed of any rental we have ever stayed at! We have a Tempurpedic at home due to back/mobility issues so Iâm a little spoiled kitchen was well stocked with the basics, the only thing we bought was ziploc baggies. The wall outlets are very loose for some reason but we found enough that would hold the plugs, just make sure you find a solid one to charge your phone overnight so your alarm will go off. I work from home and the desk and wheeled office chair (borrowed from the bedroom) was a great setup. Boro was a perfect host He was very responsive, even when I armed the security system without thinking and messaged him at 7 AM when I had to take the pup out, he disarmed it so I wouldnât set off alarm on my way out. Learn from my experience, just lock the door So glad we chose this place over the Extended Stay America we were looking at
We were very happy with the apartment. Beds are comfortable, place was clean, and included all you need for a comfortable stay. Short walk to the MAX, and short drive to other local shops and restaurants. The host was great, and easy to communicate with. It is on the 2nd floor of an older building so noise can be an issue. We could hear every person coming up the stairs and the downs stairs neighbor could hear every pitter patter of our children. If you have children I would suggest the downstairs apartment!! Also, the pool is very, very cold. We stayed in December and were excited for an indoor pool, but it was so cold we only went to the pool once and only stayed for about 10 minutes. It was not a temperature you could play in the pool with kiddos.
The only problem was getting there and having to wait an hour to get in; the keyless entry was being repaired. But, the host was on it, and very accommodating. We loved the apartment, pool, and neighborhood!
This was a nice, clean 2nd floor unit in a garden apartment complex, with quiet neighbors, walkable to shops, restaurants, and to the Max Station for trips into Portland and to other sites (e.g., the Oregon Zoo, Providence Park, etc.). It was also close to my daughter and grandchildren's home which was a bonus. We appreciated the small outdoor balcony, and the gym and the pool on site. We slept really well in the Tuft & Needle bed. Missing from the apartment was an iron and an ironing board which would be helpful for a traveler's wrinkled attire. There is no washer/dryer in unit, but the laundry room is easily accessible. The host was approachable and responds super swiftly to all communications. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Property was well taken care of and maintained. Boro was incredibly responsive and helpful every time I reached out to him whether it was to get help setting up a temporary mailbox or simply locating where the pool and washing machines are.
