Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel moon and sun . Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean comfortable coffee making facilities, good shower l, water left daily in the room. Lovely note in the room welcoming us . Breakfast was great nice start to the day. Eggs bacon vegetarian options, fruit and cereals different breads, coffee and juices. Hotel was in a good position 15 minutes walk down to Reberia square or main train station and the River. Lots of good restaurants and bars close by. We used the roof top bar a couple of times late afternoon early evening one evening they had live music which was really good. All in all an excellent stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when visiting lovely Porto. Thank you Moon and Sun

The person who designed this hotel has never stayed in our room. The hotel was dimmly lit in hallways and in rooms. it was bizzare that only way to have lights on in bathroom was to have main lights on. So used phone as light in bathroom. Faucet to short sink to shallow water got all over sink. Not enough room to put toiletries out. Breakfast,we were never told that breakfast was extra charge until we got bill. Had we known we would never have eaten there,lots of cafes in neighborhood I am sure with better food. Fire alarm went off in middlebof night we all got up people at front desk did not know what to do. We were never even comped breakfas next day..nothing for hours of sleep lost. not even an apology! Bar on roof deck..only friendly person was the bar tender. But getting up there with high steps no railing hard enough but getting down after a drink or so very scary. No railing,steep slippery marbel.

Everything was great. Check in was fast and easy. Most friendly and helpful person at the front desk. Our room wasn't large but it adequate, modern and very clean, as was the bathroom. Loved the double sinks. We used electrical outlets behind night tables for charging. Both the hotels we have stayed in so far on this trip have small refrigerators in the room, which we really use and appreciate. On the other hand, neither hotel had a place to put your clothes. A small closet for hanging things is not enough. How about a small chest of drawers to avoid living out of a suitcase.? This said, we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room was lovely and clean, as was all of the hotel, and in a good location, just outside to the main area but still very close. Beds very comfy! The only negative was the lighting in the bedroom - it was way too dark to get ready in the bedroom and not everyone does hair/makeup in the bathroom. As it was still dark at 7am during our stay, you couldn’t get any daylight to add to the subdued lighting. Some bright lamps would be a real benefit in the rooms… but overall we had a great stay:)

We were very happy with our choice to stay at Hotel Moon & Sun in Porto. From the handwritten welcome letter to the exit cookies, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. The staff was very helpful in dining recommendations. The location was perfect! Would love to stay there again in the future.

Imperious front desk. Room is crazy small and filled with all kinds of things you can hide away, e.g. coffee maker, flower vase, big blanket. Front desk was awful; unhelpful; abrupt. Breakfast was mediocre at best.
