Travelled with family
20 Aug 2025
Spent a week here with the family in two rooms, one twin, one double. This is a very small hotel with about 16 rooms, a tiny reception and an adjoining restaurant. That was quite upscale (€16 per head for breakfast) so we didn’t try it.
The hotel checked all the important boxes:
- clean and safe
- comfortable bed with usable pillows
- quiet (for being so central)
- friendly, helpful reception staff
- the small pool was a really nice extra.
Both our rooms had small kitchenettes which turned out to be a really useful bonus as it allowed us to make our own breakfasts. Equipped with not much more than a small hob, a microwave, fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, and minimal cutlery and crockery. It turned out to have everything we needed except a kitchen knife. Negotiating the loan of one from the adjoining restaurant was a bit more difficult than it needed to be IMO and took the edge off otherwise friendly and helpful service.
The location, right on the river and within easy walking distance of the center, is absolutely excellent.
