Scott let us know the house was ready and we could check in early if we wanted to, which was really nice after the lengthy drive from SeaTac. The instructions and brochure sent to us about the house was very helpful and self explanatory so we felt like we knew everything we needed to before we arrived. The restaurant suggestions were spot on. The house was super clean upon arrival, very spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view. It was a great location for the wedding we were attending a short drive away, and a nice walk to the waterfront and the fun downtown area. We definitely would come back again and would highly recommend!
Everything was great and perfect for the 5 of us. The grounds are beautiful and the home very comfortable. Only complaint was the shower liner in downstairs bathroom had some mold on it and a slight smell. Highly recommend the house and would love to come back.
Enjoyable experience, but communication was lacking. Felt ignored. Check in time listed incorrectly in all materials indicates 3pm check in, neighbor came over to tell family members they werenât supposed to be there yet. Awkward. Some issues with broken stove knobs which is a safety concern. Messaged host but no response or acknowledgment. No towel rack in half bath was problematicâŠno place to hang damp towels. Moldy shower curtain downstairs, needs a good washing. Mildew smell. I asked permission for a noon checkout on June 2nd. On June 4th I was told it was no problem, so we RSVPâd to attend a farewell breakfast for my nephew and his wife. It wasnât until we checked in that I received a message from the host telling me we had to be out before then due to a leaky faucet and to turn over for next guests. We wound up having to miss the breakfast which was very disappointing.
This house was a lovely updated 1950's spacious house and was exactly as advertised. The owners were easy to contact and communicate with. I would definitely rent again. But be advised there's no AC, though windows open.Upstairs: large living room with huge window facing Olympic Mountains and the bay; large round dining table; good size kitchen that thankfully was kept in 1950's style; small breakfast nook; one master bedroom with soft mattress; one large queen bedroom with firm mattress; one smaller bedroom with medium firm mattress; half bathroom; full bathroom with walkin shower and double sinks...both bathrooms enter from hallway. Downstairs: inside stairs to cool temp. large family room with sofas and large screen wall TV and game table to fit four people; large laundry room (to die for); closet with extra towels and linens; large luxury double sink full bathroom with shower and bath combo enterance from hallway; large bedroom with firm mattress; two separate single bed rooms joined by door. This house is suitable for for 4 - 10 guests with the luxury of having separate living spaces for adults upstairs and sporty type people downstairs. It is a nice walkable and safe-feeling neighborhood. Drive 10 minutes to cute downtown shops that kept us entertained for 4 hours. Saturday summer afternoons there is a Farmers Market closeby. Plus a 20 minute drive away is the wonderful Bloedel Garden Reserve to take in an old estate with lovely natural NW type gardens.
Loved the location. Really close to seattle ferry. Close to a casino. Nice and roomy. Only had wifi issues. If you can get the kids past that it is a wonderful place to stay. Make sure you go to the town bakery
Such a pretty and cozy house! We had plenty of room to spread out. Everything was clean and comfy, the kitchen was perfectly stocked and the outdoor space eas beautiful! We loved staring out at Liberty Bay.
Such a wonderful home away from home. We were there for a place to rest between wedding plans in the area and found this home to be just that. The home is spacious and well appointed. Each family member had a place to relax and rest, as well as common areas to play and be together. The yard is beautiful as well and a lovely place to enjoy the beauty and quiet space outdoors. We will definitely consider staying here in the future. Thank you for the hospitality and a place to call home over a busy family event.
Our book club of ten long-time (senior) friends from Bainbridge Island choose this house for our annual playreading getaway. It worked out great overall, and the short distance from Bainbridge made it possible for two people who couldn't spend the night to participate. Just a couple of minor glitches: the round dining room table was way too small for our group of ten. We brought three card tables and a tablecloth that we cobbled together for a table. Also, there is parking for only four cars, so that was a bit of a problem. But we were able to carpool or have a spouse/partners do taxi duty. Another bathroom or two would have been welcome, but we made do! The six bedrooms were perfect!
We loved the location and house. A few problems. The heat was controlled in the dining room for the entire house. We discovered that the downstairs floor was 10-15 degrees cooler. It would have been nice to have heaters downstairs. There was insufficient toilet paper left out, but the owner helped us locate more.
Beautiful, spacious home. Convenient location within walking distance of downtown Poulsbo. Great views of the bay with snow-covered mountains in the background. The house is stocked with all the conveniences of home. We greatly enjoyed our stay and recommend that future guests take in the Bloedel Reserve on nearby Bainbridge Island while visiting.Max and Mary J
From the owners, the price, all the rooms, all the little accessories that was thought of, and the space. This place is top notch. We had an amazing time.
We loved this home! The views were great and the basement area was perfect for us to relax and have fun in too. The beds were all comfy and the bedrooms were dark which was nice. It was a very easy walk to downtown for dinner at The Loft Friday night. Our only complication was the thermostat/furnace didn't work for us reliably the first night. Scott did everything he could to help me trouble shoot and was prompt to reply. We did get it working for our second day by re setting the furnace. Overall I'd stay again without hesitation.
House was in immaculate condition and has a really lovely mid-century decor. Definitely not the lifeless rentals that you often find. LOTS of space in the finished basement and a really lovely view of the mountains and beautiful sunsets from the living room/kitchen. Also easily walkable from the town, or just a minute drive if you don't want to walk a couple blocks. Would highly recommend!!
This was a perfect property for our family to attend a ceremony at the Bangor Naval base. We were all comfortable and had plenty of room . Great location to spend time in Poulsbo
Great accommodations for 8 adults. Plenty of room for a quick weekend getaway. Incredible Mountain Viewâs and easy access to walkable main street Poulsbo. We will be back!
