Housekeeping prior to our arrival wasnât great - leftover used coffee pod in machine from prior guests, areas not vacuumed, what seemed like dirty towels (or just folded very poorly).Beautiful property. House not ideal for small children (which can be seen in pictures, staircase, exposed storage areas, etc), but play structure area was great.
My family and I celebrated an early Christmas at the cabin and it was wonderful. The wood burning stove made for a cozy stay. The claw foot tub was great for soaking. And the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch were lovely! We would love to stay here again.
This old log home is quite run down, every knob , handle and hinge squeaked or rattled, including the floor, doors, cabinets, deck, stairs. Itâs a shame because it could be a cool place if it were taken care of better. The lighting sucked with burned out bulbs and was dark as a bear den. Rugs and towels were dirty as well. Overall we were not impressed with the property.
This is a fantastic property located on a nice quiet and private acreage that was just a wonderful retreat after longer days of hiking and taking part in other things in the Northern Arizona area. Will definitely be looking to stay here again, definitely one of the best VRBO's we have rented! And totally stocked with the items you need to be away, very well managed.
I selected this trip as a Christmas gift for my family and I. We loved how peaceful it was and how cozy the atmosphere was. Beautiful property and everything listed was accurate.
Everything needed for a perfect getaway. Needs more instructions on lightning and use of electronics. TV upstairs didn't have Wi-Fi or Satellite; but overall pleased with the property and would stay again!
Very nice, with lots of quiet solitude. Good for couples and small groups. Easy to get to town, but 40 minutes away. Worked well for us. Shower is upstairs, tub on first floor. Had all necessities. Neat and clean.
This place had so many amenities that arenât typical such as coffee, filters, cooking oil, etc. Thank you for the extra effort! The feel of the home was very inviting and quaint, just as described. Would definitely recommend!!
We stayed here with our dogs while moving our son in to college. This property met our needs perfectly! It is a comfortable, homey cabin in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We frequently drove from the cabin to Prescott and found the drive to be about 30 minutes. Would definitely stay here again!
An amazing, peaceful, breathtaking private place we called home for a week.
Loved waking up to coffee on the deck waiting for the rabbits, squirrels and deer to stroll by.
Liked the feel of the log cabin, rustic but had all the amenities you need. Bed in downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Property is remote and private which was nice. Roads going to the cabin are dirt but easily passable by any type of vehicle. Property has plenty of room for walking around and exploring. Kids would definitely enjoy. Would stay again.
There are so many negative issues with this property it's hard to describe them all: 1) you will have difficulty finding this cabin - it is not a house - as you must make about five turns off of a paved road onto 3 miles of different dirt roads to get there - hope that you have a good GPS; 2) the dirt roads are about 1.5 cars wide, bumpy and rutted; 3) the shower is on the second floor, a bath tube w/o shower is on the first floor. This makes no sense at all; 4) the metal winding staircase to get to the second floor is steep and narrow - it is dangerous. If you tripped on these stairs you could experience a serious injury; 5) these stairs intrude well into the living room where you could easily knock your head against the metal structure; 6) the whole cabin is very poorly lighted - better bring a flashlight or a miners headlamp; 7) the whole cabin heater sticks out into the hallway - and you must get down on your hands and knees with a flashlight to adjust the heat as there is no wall thermostat; 8) the layout of this "cabin" is incredibly poor - I can see why this place has not sold; 9) as you leave, you will be responsible - on Tuesday night - for "trucking" out the large garbage container out to the road - 75 yards? - where maybe the trash contractor might pick it up - but only if it is placed just so; 10) the steps leading up to the porch are a tripping hazard and do not meet rise and run building codes - good luck with that; 11) there is an exposed nail head in the floor near the wall table - be sure to miss it - ouch; 12) Over all this place is a disaster - do not rent it unless you are just plain stupid; 13) P.S. the upper picture windows are filthy as was the living room rug.
This cozy and well decorated cabin was perfect for our weekend stay! Both bedrooms were comfortable and both bathrooms were spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the fenced in backyard for pets and being able to walk around and explore all the land. I would recommend 4-wheel drive because it's off a private, dirt road. The only thing is the wifi was a bit slow (common though in more remote parts of Prescott), so TV streaming would pause and buffer, but there was a good collection of DVDs stocked at the cabin to enjoy instead. This is a really relaxing and cute property and I highly recommend it!
Glad to be able to stay in this quiet cabin on a spend a special holiday. Would love to come back in summer to escape the Arizona heat. Thanks for sharing your special place.
This house was amazing and so homey feeling. We loved how clean and quiet it was. The only things we wish it had was a BBQ and a fire pit of some sort. We loved our stay and we will definitely be staying here again if available.
Very comfortable, clean accommodations. We were sure at the time of booking it had a grill and shopped ahead thinking that we were grilling dinner. Turns out we had to cook our fish on the stove. That was disappointing. Got a very fast response from the management and appreciated that! They will need to change the greeting book as it mentions a grill. We enjoying watching the amazing sky and itâs endless stars. Suggest you only arrive in an SUV as some of the dirt roads are very rutted by rain.
