The porch was the highlight of the stay. Awesome rockers! Peaceful and quiet property. Unfortunately, the property did not fit our party’s needs. It is a strange layout. Long (one room leading into another) with no privacy. Main half-bath over the living room (no exhaust fan/smell issues) and one at the end of two bedrooms (you have to pass through to access). May fit a family with kids. We were 7 adults, all family, but needed some privacy (late sleepers, dressing, resting, and such). Beds very, very firm. Main bedroom en-suite was the best- definitely the best. Furniture oversized in the living room and only fits four. Dining room only fits six. We nixed doing family games or eating in due to the layout. We cannot recommend the property for groups larger than six. Finally, lots and lots of steps- everywhere there was a new room. For my aged parents, we were worried they’d fall accessing the restroom in the night (did not want to walk into the two bedrooms to access the restroom). We did see the pictures of the front entrance, but not all in the home. It is built on a hill and had additions. My mother did fall once (thin/narrow steps to the bedroom)- she is 87 years young. My father has knee limitations. So, only able bodied folks! The kitchen was workable. Limited staples, so plan accordingly if you are cooking. We bought salt and donated it for the next guests. The owners really tried to think of everything, but the layout/ furniture did not work for us.
