This cottage has impressive views perfect for writers, (day) dreamers, kayakers, and anyone looking to reset their stressed out brain by staring at the water. The space overall is small but cozy, the two bunk ned rooms are right but still have plenty of drawer storage to unpack. If you have teenagers, beware that the water heater tank is small and you’ll need to teach your kids to turn off the water when not needed or wait until the tank reheats lol. The kitchen was a great size and the outdoor space — picnic tables, fire out, bbq and deck were great. As a huge bonus, the cottage has AC — and a breeze at night if you like the sound of waves to lull you to sleep. The resort has friendly staff and residents, lots of dogs, kayaks and paddle boards to borrow and a little beach. We borrowed kayaks and paddled to the little island off the tip of the point to watch hundreds of turtles. We ended up swimming off the dock of this cottage (bring water shoes as there are lots of rocks and zebra muscles). Also bring a fishing pole or nets and catch plenty of small fish and minnows. You’ll also need to bring your own bedding and towels including kitchen towels and note that you’ll need to clean the cottage when you leave — that was unusual for us as we are used to renting cottages that build in cleaning services, bedding and towels, but we didn’t mind. The jobs were quick because the cottage is fairly small and easy to clean. This was a relaxing getaway with stunning views!
