Excellent location on the North Shore, easy access to Hanalei. Beautiful view from the top level. Backyard was nice for the kids to run around and the pool table was a nice activity. Very spacious house, plenty of room for our 11 person party (6 adults and 5 kids). Plenty of room for people to spread out. Everything worked well, no major issues.

Very short walk to Queen's Bath trailhead (my husband and son went down 4 times). Beautiful sunsets. Had all breakfasts and many dinners in the well appointed kitchen. With 4 different families, everyone had space to spread out and enjoy a little alone time if they wanted to. I would highly recommend and hope to go back some day.

We had a family of 12 ranging in age from 10-80, and this house more than satisfied our needs. We were a little worried about the lack of air conditioning (except for top floor) and it was never an issue. We were out exploring the island during the heat of the day and by the time we arrived back to the house the sun was setting and the trade winds made the home very comfortable. Views and location were amazing!! You may need to drive 30-45 mins to some excursions but the drive was beautiful and did not seem that long. The items in the garage were a huge bonus - beach chairs, snorkel gear, umbrellas, and plenty of beach towels. You can walk to Queens Bath - which I highly recommend!! A little challenging to walk down the trail but once there it is magical - sea turtles were plentiful and the opportunity to get into the water made the trip down the trail worthwhile. Check conditions before jumping into the water, we were fortunate to have a great day to visit Queens Bath. This house has the BEST sunset on the island - just beautiful!!

The 2nd floor kitchen is large and spacious. The main floor is not conditioned, so I recommend acquiring a few cheap box fans. The views are amazing. Nearby you will find a grocery store and restaurants. Hanalei Bay is just down the mountain with all it has to offer. The Dolphin Restaurant is excellent, no reservations, so arrive early. I recommend this rental to any larger families.

Beautiful Kauai

A beautiful home and yard and views. The home is showing some typical wear and tear--some ceramic floor tiles appear to be dirty but just stained as we attempted to clean and could not, so no real problem; some of the louvered windows were stuck closed, but again not an issue because there are so many others to open. The lanais are wonderful. We didn't spend much time at the home as we were always out enjoying this beautiful island. But having a beautiful place to come home to following a fun-filled day was great. The home comes equipped with many thoughtful amenities. The only recommendation we could really make is that the mattresses could be upgraded to match the price, comfort and beauty of the overall home and surroundings.

There was a helpful printout featuring all the house rules, the light switches were labeled, great beach supplies, and the house is stocked with working appliances and toiletries, etc. when I reached out to the property manager to ask about gas for the grill she responded right away. Gas is actually a direct feed to the grill, so no propane needed! Filtered water in the sink for water bottles, great towels and linens. Perfect sunset views every night. Easy check in/check out process.

Exceeded Expectations!

Gorgeous views—no trick photography with website images. The views are as represented! Well-stocked kitchen—never stayed in a house that was better supplied with kitchen appliances, cutlery, dinnerware, etc. Bonus was 2 dishwashers in large kitchen. Ice chests in garage for beach days. Plenty of room. Large bedrooms, each with their own bath. Great water pressure and more than sufficient supply of hot water. Note that AC is only available on top floor. Website listing mentions—but we missed that detail. Catalyst for vacation was to celebrate granddaughter’s college graduation. We were a party of 8 and the 5 bedrooms allowed for us to comfortably get our privacy when needed. The 3 kitchens came in handy for accommodating eating schedules and refrigerator storage needs. We used the 3rd floor kitchen for family meals. We cooked dinner outside 2x on grill. Every morning we enjoyed coffee on the lanai taking in the golf course, sounds of birds, nearby flora and the calm ocean view. When planning trip we debated between Princeville and Poipu. In the end this house was tipping point. Our family participated in several outdoor adventures all launching out of the Lihue area—which required a 45-60 minute drive one way—-but everyone agreed it was worth the drive to be nestled in the lush greenery and quaint village. The Foodland grocery store is 2 miles away. We were able to find everything we needed for meals and outings. Gas station is in same shopping center. One of the unexpected delights was town of Hanalei—2 miles away. Try Pinks Ice Cream and Hanalei Bakery—-we visited multiple times during our 11 day stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is beautiful, kitchen is stocked, but we shouldn't have trusted the reviews that say no AC is ok on the island. We researched many rentals and after reading reviews about Hale Ohana Nui, felt comfortable paying the luxury price for this rental even though three out of four bedrooms we needed were not air conditioned. Upon checking into this home, all the windows were open to showcase the amazing views. Unfortunately, back bedroom was approximately 95 degrees, right in the sun, and even after using 4 fans all night long, didn't cool down below 83. Island temperatures were 81 degrees for our entire 10 day stay. The two back bedrooms couldn't close the doors, as the heat just kept rising. Even as close friends, it was awkward getting ready for bed and sleeping next door to our friends with the doors wide open. Upstairs in the AC there are no inside seating areas that comfortably fit 8 people except the dining table, which isn't super comfortable to relax in as it has a bench seat. Sitting outside wasn't possible because of the heat and the intense sun - there are no window coverings to keep the sun out of the third floor living space so we never really knew what to do during the time the sun was setting. There are notes on the walls everywhere, as well as an unprofessional note in the guest book that talks about making sure the trash is organized correctly because "god forbid the city employees earn a day's pay" or something like that. I guess it never occurred to them that their guests may be city or sanitation department employees? The notes say what to do at checkout, but they aren't all the same. We texted the manager to ask for ONE list of checkout details and mentioned that we placed the garbage in the freezer as asked in one of the notes and he had no idea what I was talking about. We were nervous we'd miss a note telling us to do something and not get our deposit back. If it'

The property was ideally suited for my wife and our three children and their spouses. Five bedrooms, all with in suite baths. Vary spacious and comfortable. Location was fantastic, overlooking the golf course, an ideal spot for watching spectacular sunsets. Fifteen minutes to Hanalei beach. The house is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Of special note; our family enjoys cooking together when we meet up and this home has the best equipped kitchen we have ever encountered in a vacation rental, bar none.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were an extended family of 12 including children. We all loved the house. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room for all of us. We could walk to the small beach in Princetown and it was 10 minutes to Hanalei Bay, so a good location.
