The first issue, no fault of the hotel themselves, however a significant inconvenience was the fact that the neighboring room had two individuals rehearsing for a Christmas play in which one was a ghost through the entire night. Their commitment to the arts was admirable. The second issue came when we realized the vent in the bathroom ceiling was leaking into the toilet, thankfully, the room change was quick and painless... Then came the aromatherapy brought to you by budget marijuana! We couldn't figure out if someone walked through the entire hotel blowing pot smoke under the doors as they went by or if they had figured out if you smoke directly by the vents it'll seem as if it's not you smoking... So. A win for them and a massive headache for anyone that doesn't love such aromatherapy. Oh, there was also a mysterious bloodstain on the comforter in the first room we stayed in... On the plus side, the breakfast in the restaurant was wonderful!

The double room had a lovely little living room, very elegantly appointed, and a separate room with two double beds. Very clean and comfortable. Old-fashioned elegance. The bathroom was spacious and had everything we needed. This hotel is in great proximity to lots of restaurants and shops. It is a two-minute walk from the Providence Performing Arts Center.

Beautiful old hotel which has been kept up and in great condition with free cookies. The basic room was huge with great pillows. Free Breakfast with made to order omelette and fresh fruit! Would stay here again in a heart beat. Plenty of restaurants you can walk to.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night but I found the Providence Hotel to be very quaint and comfortable. The property and the room were clean and the staff was super friendly. The free coffee and hot coco bars by the front desk was a great touch and the free breakfast had variety of options. When I read the reviews prior to our visit, I was concerned about the surrounding area but picked it due to the proximity to my son who I was visiting. The area itself was clean, walkable, and very pretty. It IS an urban area and the hotel is across from a church that serves the homeless, but who doesn’t appreciate that and at NO time did I feel unsafe!! I will be back to see my son and hope next time to stay for more than a night!!

The valet was very kind the front desk staff looked miserable. There were complimentary cookies and apple cider when you walk in that was cool. The room was pretty the beekman shampoo lotion hand soap and conditioner was also pretty cool. The breakfast was outstanding 10/10

We had another great stay at Hotel Providence — our go-to hotel in the city. Everything about it is perfect! Good stay! The room was clean, the room desk is good for those that need to work while here. The surrounding area can be a little weird due to its location near a homeless shelter. No one bothered me.The breakfast was an added cost $100 they don't advertise. Everyone has to pay it. Staff was very nice!
