I was surprised to find out that the parking was not included. $40 a day is quite a lot. There was no refrigerator in the room. Although the room was very small, I’m sure they could’ve fit a refrigerator somewhere. Even a little tiny one. Also I asked somebody at the front desk to put my food in the refrigerator near the lobby and she took my food. Then when I went to pick it up the next day, a different person was there and he did not have any idea where my food was. He told me that we don’t normally do it, but the other girl did it without any problem. Also, I was supposed to receive a $15 credit for something. Could you please tell me what that’s about? Not a great neighborhood. There were a bunch of homeless people gathered in front of the hotel all the time. Fire truck showed up twice to address issues on consecutive days.

I Received a text message for pre-check in. when I went to it they offered a room upgrade for a fee. I selected the upgrade and didn't get it, I think I was charged $92 for the service. the front desk said they no longer use the text check in. the room booked by expedia was fine.

Extremely overpriced hotel !!!

Incredibly overpriced ! Not in the best of areas, opposite a mission for the homeless, so lots of homeless people sleeping on the street closeby.(not the hotels fault, and obviously not something they would mention in their information) Check-in was shambolic, with the wrong tourist tax being charged (later refunded). The tv didnt work in our room and we were told it would be 2 days before maintenance would be on site to fix it. We moved room, the safe didnt work, we moved again, the wifi didnt reach that floor. After another three more rooms with tiny windows facing a brick wall, so no natural light and 2 that the safe didnt work, we said we'd prefer our original room with the tv that didnt work. The bathroom had no body wash in the shower and there was only one washcloth for two people. When we asked reception to arrange a taxi for the morning we were leaving, he told us the hotel didn't offer that service! What hotel refuses to call you a taxi ?!! After explaining we didn't have access to a phone to use in the US, so we couldn't call an Uber, he reluctantly agreed to call a taxi for us. The free cookies each day didn't exist there was no bottled water at checkin, but a can of coke was offered instead. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet, but they were the only positives. Extremely overpriced hotel, would never go back.

Hotel Providence

The hotel itself is great with comfortable rooms and great breakfast. While the location is convenient the parking was not as great. The valet and closeby lot was $40 a night.

The bathroom door had smudges all over and there was no paperwork taking about the amenities and restaurants in the area. Had our rehearsal dinner here in August 2015 and the place has changed
