Casa Isabel is a hidden gem, secluded and quiet with a fantastic view of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. Walkable to town and back but the hill is a workout! Our first few days we hardly saw anyone, like having the place to our selves. Jonathan and his staff were very helpful. The restaurant is always reliable and the authentic Mexican decor beautiful. We will be back!

The property although hard to reach on foot ( many hills and many steps… no elevator is a really wonderful location. The problem we experienced was kids on m very loud motercycles would TACE up and down the hill and stop in front of the property every night mid nite or or later

The view is amazing! Very close to the Romantic Zone and the beach. A big con is you have to cross a very busy highway to get to those things and it can be kind of treacherous. You will also burn a lot of calories walking up and down the hill if you dont use taxi or ubers. But overall we loved being tucked away in a more quiet area with a spectacular view. There is a coffee maker included in the room, but no coffee or filters. I wish we had known that! We went out every morning to get coffee. Bring close toed shoes, the cobble stone streets and hills arent condusive to sandals.

Casa Isabel review We stayed at Casa Isabel for 17 nights over Christmas 2023 into the new year 2024. Pros: -Free self serve breakfast with coffee, toast, yogurt, cereals etc -Purified water dispenser in room and changed often -Heated infinite pool and hot jacuzzi -Spacious apartment with amazing view from terrace -Amazing views of Puerto Vallarta from just about everywhere at the hotel -Affordable happy hour at the bar with strong drinks, and tasty food at the restaurant -Quiet at night for sleeping (and daytime too, felt like the hotel was empty) -Daily room cleaning was excellent -Strong air conditioning in bedroom Cons: -Street kids that hang out near the entrance of the hotel. These are young men who “make deliveries” on motorcycles around town although I must say they keep to themselves. -There is essentially no security for the hotel. There is no guard at the entrance. -We are in good shape but getting up the hill from Zona Romantica is physically demanding and eventually we started taking taxis and Ubers to get home which added to our budget. -Wifi was very spotty and slow in our room

Breathtaking Views

Casa Isabel has extremely surpassed my expectations. Check in was a breeze and got a free drink upon check-in. The room was extremely clean and spacious. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was served every morning. The location of this hotel is phenomenal, the view was exceptional.

Book Elsewhere!

Terrible experience. Had a large 2 bedroom suite next to the pool. Room had ants and bugs. Lamps broken. Patio doors would not shut completely. Air conditioning only in the bedrooms. Desperately needs to be upgraded. Pool had no bartender or service the whole time. No service at the front desk, office was mainly closed. Hotel restaurant closed all day Sunday. Paid $1,600. Wasn't worth it at all. Don’t waste your money.

The property is situated on a hilltop and it is nicely decorated. Steep climb if you go into town on foot. Okay if you have a car. Street parking available. Sleeping capacity was misrepresented. Make sure you check ahead of time. The wifi signal was not available in bedrooms, just living room. A/C was only available in bedrooms. The entire power went out on our last day. Lots of music noise from neighboring resorts. Nice pools, tiles were coming off. Poor lighting by the pool area at night. This could be a great resort if it were well attended.
