My room was very clean and housekeeping was great. The front desk clerk that I had should retire. She was rude and not helpful. We had all of our meals off sight so we could experience the culture. You only get water the first day in your room then it’s up to you to buy it. If you want ice you have to go to the bar and expect attitude!!

All staff were pleasant. The room was clean. The hotel and it's surrounding was mostly quiet, making for good nights sleep.The pools were great for swimming. The downside, there are no kitchen facilities, like a kettle etc in the rooms (unless you reserve a kitchen unit) and the cleaners had to keep up with the bird population and their droppings.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The rooms are basic but clean and the beach view was amazing. This hotel offers poolside and beachfront access which is a bonus in this area. It is close to many restaurants and a small grocery store across the street. This was our 2nd year in a row staying at the Tropicana and we will definitely be back.

Room had a peek a boo of ocean. Room was located on backside of property right off the main road. Heard car and constructions noises 24hrs a day. Extremely disheartening and not a place where you could relas. The furniture was the original furniture from when the hotel opened. Tile chips missing in bathroom shower. Good location, pitiful room. I paid for a mid class room, but felt like I got the bottom of the barrel.

The room is like a dorm room. The hotel definitely needs some updating. The exterior of the hotel is well maintained and beautiful. We were assigned a room on the 4th floor and no elevator. The hotel door had cracks in it and you could see though the door. The door frame had large gaps and you could see right through the door frame. The staff at the desk are not very helpful and seem disorganized.

Tropicana has many different room styles. I haves stayed in most of them. All very clean with decent linens and maid service. Beach was not crowded on early Dec.
