What we like about this property is that we were able to swim in the ocean. I was able to walk at least 40 feet in the water was around chest high. I also like the fact that they have a boogie board for the guests which we used and they were a lot of fun. We did not like about our room was that we saw cockroaches, and spiders. We let someone know at the front desk and she didn’t seem to care too much about it. She was not apologetic at all. She did state she was going to note it, but did not seem like she did. Very unhappy on her customer service. We would not recommend to any of our family members or friends to stay at RIU Vallarta.

Our stay was very good. The check in was a bit bumpy and it could be better. The rooms were always cleaned and left amazing each day. The buffet was literally the best place to eat hands down! The waiters there were attentive and kind. Overall, the service was always good when I had it but there weren’t enough people to help make it as luxurious as I’d thought it would be. The beds were cozy but the pillows were lacking. The shower was great! In general a great stay and felt safe. The construction in front of the hotel and on the road was a hassle.

Buffet not too good. Same thing everyday with no variance. Ala cartel were OK. Evening shows lame. We sat at various pool areas and this is the first all inclusive we’ve been to that basically had no drink service to you. It was all self serve. Any time we went up to get a drink there were 12 or 14 people in line. Very slow. We have been to many all inclusive in Mexico but would not return to this one.

Room was clean and spacious and staff is courteous. Food at the buffet is same during my 7 days of stay. Evening entertainment could be better. Beach is nice. I would recommend this resort.

Staff nice and friendly. Property and rooms are clean. Food was okay. Couldn’t comment on the pools because they were very busy and all pool chairs reserved with pool towels by guests well before opening. In terms of the beach, there are vendors constantly soliciting and you will see horses in the hot sun all day without water, The beach is public and hotel doesn’t have control over the vendors or the horses but if you don’t want that type of beach vibe…..I would want to know.

The resort was clean and well kept. Enployees were friendly and very willing to help with anything you asked for. Victor was the best activity person we could have asked for. He made our trip even more fun than it would have been without him. Evening entertainment could have been better, but was not horrible.
