We had a problem when we got there. The door was supposed to be open but it wasn't. My husband finally found a key on an outside light. The cabin was clean, the air was on so that was great. I loved the decor and the extra fans. Camp store was fun. Loved the history and my husband got a kick out of Bob the cat and the dog.
This was a good spot to stay for night traveling across SD. Itâs a tad off the beaten path but not too far. If youâre looking for something unique and rural, this is the spot for you!
It was the first property that came up on the site and by Godâs design it was just what was needed for our souls! Everything we needed: peaceful, quaint, the cat and his royal set up hilarious, the dog is super laid back, great bathhouse and camp store for fun treasures, and the school house an awesome treat from history. We had great communication with the host.Itâs a gem off of the interstate. We also ate at the buzzards bar and grill in Pukwana. The burgers and potatoes were excellent. Super staff they even got the town mechanic to help with my vehicle. Thanks for the hospitality and the adventure!!! God bless you all.
It was clean, conveniently located, and Crystal said up to make sure that my stay was the best. It was a well appointed cabin and wouod recommend to anyone.
Communication from the host was fantastic. The cabin was warm and welcoming upon arrival. We loved seeing the animals, too. It was fun to check out the old school house right next to the cabin. This is a unique treasure in SD. We would definitely stay again.
We were in SD for a graduation. Traveling with our three dogs. This was the perfect place for us for a weekend stay. Small house but plenty of room for us. Hot shower. Full fridge. Exploring the farm was fun w the dogs and the schoolhouse nextfoor was a fun lite adventure. Thanks for a great stay.
Lovely host and very unique tiny home farm stay. Really enjoyed the prace and quiet of country living. My host Krystal was very attentive and had great communication with me. The horses and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets were an added bonus! This will be a regular stop in my cross country travels
I needed a place for 1 night on my trip. I didn't want a random hotel. Really glad I found this. Just what I expected. Great bed and shower.
Bob the cat and Fred the dog were a pleasant greeting.
I wish I could have found where the coffee and filters might have hiding but it was a cool spot.
The owners could not be blamed for the rain that day, nor the mud that filled almost every inch of the parking area (I can't speak for the people who got stuck). The cabin was open, and we appreciated the strong workout to get the door open after sitting in the car so long. Fortunately the rain helped to cool us as we worked. It was charming how we asked about the wifi password and the nice gentleman had no idea what that was (he thought it was 'some Native American thing"). There were plenty of mouse traps to keep the rodents away and cleanser so we could clean the durty sink - very thoughtful! No mirror or hooks in the bathroom but never fear - you can use the medicine cabinet door to hang your towel. As budding entemologists we were fascinated by the swarms of ants on all the windows - we were so excited by finding them we could hardly sleep! An extra thoughtful touch was the bottle used as a spitoon by the previous tenet was left beside the bed with still plenty of space in it. We unfortunately couldn't stay long enough to make breakfast.
The fridge was spotless.
Truly enjoyed meeting Crystal, Tucker and Carson. Fred the dog and Bob the cat welcomed us upon arrival. Crystal was so welcoming and kind. I had a delicious burger at her cousinâs restaurant (Buzzard Bar) - Crystal called Cousin Lonnie and told him to take care of me đ. Wish I could have stayed longer!
It was a nice little rustic cabin. A great place for our little dog. Our host Crystal was very communicative and the place was nice and quiet. A great place to stay the night when youâre on the road and need to get away from the interstate drive for a while.
Very cool small cabin to use for a night between 2 hunts. Worked out excellent, my daughter got to pet a few horses, dogs and a very friendly cat. Kitchen was outfitted very well, cabin was very clean and functional.
This was a good remote peaceful place to spend the night while headed for the Badlands. Very quiet, and nice place to stretch our legs and walk, Tiny cute little cabin
We enjoyed our stay in this quaint little tourist cabin. It had all the necessities for a quiet night in the country. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and the night sky was fabulous. This is a working cattle ranch with all the things that go along with that. Our host was helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and great food, a great storyteller and guide. We'll plan to stay here again if we are ever in the area...our love to Bob the Cat :)
We enjoyed our stay. We never met the owners during our time there. It could have used some more comfortable seating. The small couch was okay. We wanted to go see the school house, but both nights there were people parked there with campers. It was secluded and quiet which we wanted.
