Me and my wife suffered vomiting and diarrhea from the food we ate at lunch is steakhouse at the beach, friday Oct. 24. I consulted the doctor in the clinic and I was charged $215{ Is this covered by expedia or the resort} I vommited 9 times and 7 times diarrhea

The staff could be more helpful. They had us waiting 2 hours for towels. The check in staff was excellent. The bathroom soap dispenser was moldy and bathroom had a mildew smell to it . However the property is very close to night life and the casino has a club you get free entry to by being a guest . Location excellent , check in staff excellent, rooms could be cleaner, staff on site could be nicer and more pleasant and helpful, and it’s very hard to get reservations for on site restaurants

Everything was great during our stay. Not very many pool activities in the day or nightlife however it was still nice. Staff at the buffet in the morning was not that great but food was really good. Would not recommend the Mexican restaurant it was not good.

This is a beautiful resort! Many options of food and drink everywhere. Unfortunately, we were there during hurricane season which meant that there was a lot of rain. But that did not stop from our excursions or us having fun. We even had a massage on the beach during the storm and it was very relaxing. The rooms are very nice. The people are wonderful. I would suggest either having a room by the main lodge or by the beach. We were by the main lodge. Easy to walk to entertainment, food and transportation. There is a trolley that runs consistently throughout the resort. But the walk to the beach is not so bad either. Depending on your package, some restaurants and areas of the property are not included. So, double check the different packages that are offered. I would definitely recommend this resort and Dominican Republic in general for anyone...families, couples or just a friends vacation.

This resort was absolutely TERRIBLE. The staff were ridiculously rude and arrogant. The food in the buffet was almost inedible. The bartenders were extremely disrespectful and would throw drinks on the ground when told that the order was wrong. My room was disgusting — old gobs of hair and ROACHES. The shower did not work and neither did the air conditioning. The drivers of the carts to take people around the resort blatantly told me NO when I asked for a ride to the beach area. I will absolutely never stay here again. Tried reaching out to the resort and no response. Typical. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Beach was dirty, the rooms very really dated and dirty washrooms, workers were rude. The food was awful unsanitary made all of us sick with salmonella i was in hospital the day i came back home worse experience of our life.

Well..far from five star. First room had sewer flies, second room better. Customer service was impossible to reach by phone and long lines at the desk, but pretty helpful. Food was pretty good off buffets. Three of us got sick from hibachi. Very little entertainment during the day. The property was beautiful, if only they put all that work into rooms and entertainment. Third time in Punta Cana, by far the worse out of the three. Expedia needs better and more accurate reviews on the resorts.

The property was pretty nice and the people were cool. My only complaint is the outside world once you leave the resort it gets to the real side of the Dominican Republic, where there is trash everywhere and people looking to hustle you if you’re a foreigner. It can definitely be uncomfortable if you’re traveling solo. I guess the resort can’t control that so just strictly based off the resort it was pretty good.

Beautiful, stunning,extremely friendly, breathtaking! We hated to leave! It was gorgeous every day! There wasn’t a single thing that I didn’t like. I am not one to like the heat, but I loved the weather! Scenery was well kept. Staff always had a smile and greeted you every time you past them. Absolutely the best time of year to visit!
