Spent 4 nights here and it was a very relaxing vacay. Started out questionable when our El Beso rooftop suite had an AC leak. Our Expedia Concierge/Butler José came and immediately upgraded us to a beautiful ocean front room 14105. The bed/pillows gave us the best rest we've ever had. Good- The food was really good here. José made our reservations each night. Mike's coffee shop is a must. Route 66 is open 11pm-6am for late night snacks. Drinks made with quality Barcelo rum for our favorite Caipirinha. Stohl vodka, Jose Cuervo were other brands included. We didn't feel the need to upgrade. Entertainment is standard.Nightly we hung out in the square until well after 11pm. The lazy river was the highlight of our trip. You'd think it's for kids, but it was mostly adults! They had a very large kids waterpark too. They provide free rides to World Mart for souvenirs and cigar shopping. Good prices. The Bad- no restaurant/bar schedule is dependable. You just had to go see what was open. They blame it on low season. Luckily José sent us daily info but what about people who didn't have butlers. Water in our shower was never hot. We didn't complain because we were happy about the upgrade. Room service is only free from lunch to 11pm. Never heard of breakfast being a fee at a resort. El Beso bar pool is murky and needs to be cleaned more often. The beach-since it's eroded, they don't maintain what little is left. No waiters, dirty cups/plates, trash. The staff makes this 4/5

El único inconveniente fue al principio.. la persona que está recibiendo en la puerta me dijo que no tenían servicio VIP y tampoco tenían habitaciones con vistas a la playa… luego la persona que terminó haciendo el check in se excusó y realmente recibí todo lo que había comprado. Mi mayordomo José Miguel Jiménez fue excelente y muy respetuoso, efectivo resolviendo de una forma rápida y eficaz mis requerimientos. A nivel general muy buen lugar con mucha tranquilidad. 🐝

By far this is a top 5 location that I will be coming back to. Highlights - Clean location, clean beach, free of sea weed. Plenty of seating with shade and to tan, restruants were good food I would rate it a 6 out of 10. Our anniversary dinner on the beach at sunset was just amazing, the service and food on this resort for us hasn't been seen in a all time. The level of service was unmacthed even in the states. Our concierge, Jose Miguel Jimenez, WAS SUPER AMAZING!!!! This guy was there every step of the way to help schedule dinners, room service, questions, rides, just any and everything Jose helped us get or got for us. Truly he went ABOVE and BEYOND HIS CALL OF SERVICE FOR US!! Cons were not many. House keeping missed us a couple of days and Jose helped get it for us. The amount of cats freely roaming the grounds and begging for food was a little bit of an issue. I don't let my dogs at home sit in front of me an beg for food, so I don't want that on vacation or when I'm having a romantic anniversary dinner on the beach at sunset. Other then that we had an amazing time and again we will be coming back to this resort in the future.

The property was nice outside of my room, not being upgraded. The room I had had no swing. We were not given a bottle of wine upon arrival. And we were supposed to be given $60 in credit. The check-in process for the adult side was not the most pleasant experience at a resort. The staff was very nice, even though most of them could not understand me.

Kevin Paulino, he was our go to guy and when we needed something, he got it done rapidly. He made our experience in the Dominican Republic amazing! He made us feel important, comfortable and safe! Kevin made our stay stress free by booking all of our dinners for the 6 days we stayed in Ocean El Faro. The resort is beautiful! The amenities were excellent, we really enjoyed all the pools, lazy river and gym. All of the restaurants had great food and service. I highly recommend checking out their evening shows! If you’re ever visiting this resort you won’t regret it, especially if you have Kevin looking after you!

I must say my experience this time was very underwhelming. From the check in experience with little help, to the flooding room, and then having to wait for 3 hours after traveling all day was not ok. Sitting in a room that was literally leaking everywhere with no where to go. We lost an entire evening. The menus never matched the dining experience. So we couldn't order what we wanted. The only positive thing that i can say about trip this time is that our "butler" Kevin was very friendly.

Thursday 18 when we arrived fisrt night at the hotel the el beso beach bar bartender disrespect us because we are Puertorican. And we went to the sport bar to leave that bar and stay calm and appeared there too when he finished his shift and disrespect my wife and I. Thank God when my neighbor saw that he took him outside. Other than that Kevin was good our concierge and the people at the Pez Dama too.

My stay was incredible! I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and didn’t even get through everything there is to do. The property is MASSIVE and incredibly beautiful. The staff was always kind and professional. José, especially, was our butler and he went above and beyond in caring for us. He was always available, incredibly considerate and would check in with me daily, anticipating my needs. He even surprised me with a decorated room and a birthday dessert for my birthday. He was amazing. So was the entertainment and facilities. Though, there were little issues with my room like a runny toilet, slight dings, broken fixtures and peeling paint. Also, sometimes the food was cold which affected tastiness and some of the food options were closed during my stay. But overall, this was the best resort I’ve ever been to. The resort app was super helpful as well. It gave up to date info on what was available to do, the menus of the restaurants, the location of the constantly running trains. I never felt out of the loop. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back!

Overall, I think this property was good! It’s so beautiful, really just like the pictures. We had the swim up room which was amazing and I highly recommend! When we booked through Expedia, we got a butler - Jose and he was fantastic! Always checking to see if we needed anything and made all our dinner reservations! It was so easy, if you needed anything you just sent a text. He was very helpful and always so friendly! We really did enjoy our stay, though there were some downsides I feel worth mentioning. The food was alright, breakfast and lunch was fine, though not many options for either past the buffet (more for lunch but still not many options.) The dinner restaurants were definitely better! Still not anything over the top to talk about but still good. We did come across some staff throughout our stay that wasn’t the friendliest. Not rude by any means, just not friendly. Though I feel you do get this everywhere. Also beware of the “welcome gift and breakfast” they try to get you to do. It’s a timeshare presentation they just don’t come out and say it. We lost a whole day of travel to a missed connection due to a delayed flight & I was not going to miss more time at the resort, so when presented with this & realizing what it was we denied it. They push hard and almost don’t let you say no which I really do not like. We had to go to two separate people saying no thank you 5/6 times each before we could finally walk away. Very pushy. Overall, 4/5 stars I enjoyed our stay!
