I mistakenly selected Riu Palace Bávaro instead of Riu Palace Punta Cana, but it was the best mistake I’ve made. Alexis, Marcos, Enrique, Natanel, Luis Orangel and Rafael truly exceeded expectations and all provided top tier customer service . Everyone was very nice and professional. My birthday trip was very relaxing and an amazing time. Thank you all for all that you do!

First off having to pay $3 for each game of billiards definitely did not make it seem worth the thousands of dollars I paid for this trip. As well as being able to get in contact with the excursions I added on. In addition to everything I paid almost $500 for trip insurance that was not useful in any way due to the fact I could not change my booking for a family emergency being the reason I purchased it. I was very disappointed with my overall experience. Spending almost $4,000 with nothing but a bad week. I will definitely use and recommend COSTCO TRAVEL for my next trip.

We were extremely disappointed in the level of service and hospitality. The food was beyond awful even at the nicer steak house it was flavorless and lacked in presentation . The Mexican food was the wort we could not even eat it. The fruit, meats and veggies were literally going bad on the buffet. The hotel itself looks good from afar but it was makeup on a pig as they obviously tried to renovate years ago and did a poor job. The water park was not great the slides for the smaller kids were boarded up with plywood you could not see your kids it looked awful not like the photos online. The rooms had paper thin walls you can hear everything and smell everything!! The house keeping never restocked the basics or the drinks in the mini bar. I had never look forward to leaving a vacation more then this. It’s really unfortunate I thought this hotel brand had higher standards.

The staff at this restaurant was fantastic! Alexis, the check-in staff, was incredibly helpful and explained everything in detail. Ozuna, our waiter at the buffet, remembered our drink orders every time we sat at his section. Benjamin, the bartender by the aerobics pool, was always attentive to my group. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.

Best cocktails, good buffet with lot of choices. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Very crowded and noisy at some moment, especially during week-end. The beach itself was average, but there was enough chairs and shade under the palm trees.

Room was clean and comfortable However,We had bad experiences, first the internet was out an entire day, no urgency from the resort to get ir restored, seems like it’s a common thing. For my transportation to the airport it took the front desk 45 minutes to let the driver in the premises, because safety reasons, I had to personally go down to the lobby to beg them to let the driver in. The resort is too big and too much walking which I didn’t mind it’s a nice place to walk around, except when you’re trying to find the restroom closest to the restaurants. Which takes me to my final and worst complaint, food poisoning, I was sick for 5 days from eating at the buffet, no plastic gloves provided, hand sanitizer or nearby washrooms A few employees/staff were gracious and helpful but the majority of them were kind of rude My first time at a Riu hotel with high expectations, most likely the last one, other cheaper resorts just as good but woth nicer people and less rules with transportation rules

The food was terrible, and the Wi-Fi worked well for the first two days, but on day three, it kept disconnecting. I couldn’t connect my phone to the TV to use it as a speaker, and I wasn’t even given a remote for my room. My friends, who stayed on the family side of the hotel, had to deal with a roach infestation in their room. They eventually switched rooms, but it was still disgusting. Water bugs were found on the beds and behind the chairs. The room service menu had very few options, and the food at the sports bar was awful. The breakfast eggs tasted like plastic. My friend also noticed a bug coming out of her champagne when she asked the waitress for it. The waitress quickly replaced the bottle and glass, but when my friend asked if that was a bug she saw, the waitress acted clueless. There was far more bad than good during our stay. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.
