I stayed at this hotel last year, and I found it to be considerably worse this year.
When we checked in for two rooms, we were told that one of them had a king bed, but when we went to the room, both were twin beds. When we went back to the front desk, we were told that there were no king beds available, but no one explained why they lied to us when we checked in.
I found the food quality and availability to be worse than last year. At the outdoor food court, I found undercooked chicken while some items were not regularly replenished and thus not available.
Both rooms smelled musty and unventilated, and were also cold despite the fact that we did not use the air conditioning. I don't understand what was making them cold.
The restaurants are also kept very cold which is not comfortable for guests who often come from cold climates in search of warmth.
Riu Palace is supposed to be a premiere brand, but it is hardly premiere.
