Una experiencia un poco mala en todos los sentidos. Desde que llegamos, la experiencia ha sido decepcionante. El personal ha sido poco desorganizado, la atención al cliente deja mucho que desear, y no muestran interés real en resolver los problemas. Las instalaciones están en mal estado: falta mantenimiento, la limpieza deficiente y varias áreas del hotel claramente descuidadas.La propiedad tiene muy mal mantenimiento en general, esta como para cerrar el hotel y remodelar todo, todas las paredes estan sucias. Los restaurantes la espera para la comida es horrible, en el restaurante italiano despues de 1 hora y media de esperando por la comida nos levantamos y nos fuimos ya que la comida nunca llego. Horrible!! No hay suficiente personal para ayudarte con las bebidas, la espera para todo es demasiado tiempo. Nos vamos con una gran decepción y sin ganas de volver. Este hotel está muy lejos de lo que promete ser. No lo recomiento en lo absoluto. La unica atencion buena que recibimos fue la del concierge que desde el primer momento nos ayudo con la limpieza de la habitacion que nos la entregaron sucia y tambien nos ayudo con todas las reservas de los restaurantes muy agradecidos con el. Lo demas todo mal.

It was pretty, all the rooms are so far from pool, beach and lobby. Being constantly hounded by locals for money or tips was too much. Every reservation we made was messed up in the system. They were accommodating but had to wait to be worked in for dinner and massages. No air in any restaurants makes it hard to enjoy meals.

At an all inclusive resort, I don’t expect to tip for every little thing. This was disappointing. I also felt that the top Diamond Club guests were given priorities on chairs, reservations, etc. the average person coming to the resort is at a serious disadvantage.

This property was great. I loved the shows and the amenities. The lazy river was fantastic. The food offerings were limited, also dealing with restaurant reservations.the room was large and spacious. Our room was missing hot water. The staff were all friendly and kind. Otherwise the hotel was beautiful. Check in is slow and tedious. I would stay here again despite these hiccups.

Please read this review and save yourself from unneccessary stress and a bad moment. I know there a lot of good reviews as well as bad reviews. My family and I came to this resort because I saw good reviews despite there being bad reviews because ofcourse we know that not everyone will be happy with things. BUT please listen to me & save your money & time. Upon arrival we were greeted in the lobby with a “ welcome to royalton, this bracelet is your key to everything, if you lose it you have to pay $150 per bracelet also please leave a $200 deposit”. I have never in the 10+ years that my family and I have been coming here to punta cana to other resorts. This has been hands down the WORST resort i have ever been to. To top it off, the pools is what tipped me otf edge. They are filthy since day one, we thought ok they will fix it tomorrow, nope. Next day even dirtier, we went and complained along with a lot of the other people staying at the resort, they said it would be fixed. Woke up the next day and even filthier. The dirtiest looking water in the world. I have attached pictures for your review. In the both big pools, there was maybe 4-10 people inside because everyone else was disgusted with how dirty the water is. There is ever green algae looking things and grease in the surface of the water. Going to the pool is the highlight of our day and we cant even get in the pools. Nobody seems to care. And they said theyre working in it but nope everything is still dirtier.

We spent 5 nights at the resort, and it is well-maintained. They clean the rooms every day. Dining options are limited though, we ran out of options by the 4th night. Overall: This most definitely did not feel like a 5 star resort, especially for the price. Unlikely to return. Hope this is helpful to management/ others. The good: beach looks nice although it was overcome by sargassum firing our stay. Beautiful white sand. Kids liked the kids club a lot as well as play area, nightly shows were good. Nice landscaping. A handful on standouts in service slightly offset by lackadaisical service from others The bad: hotel looks good from far but is far from good. We were fairly disappointed given the amount of money we spent to come here. Walls in hallways in dire need of paint, missing room numbers, you'll need to dodge unattended room service leftovers in hallways since they pick them up maybe once a day, there's visible cracks in exterior walls facing away from main areas. Cockroaches (alive or dead) dasis. Pungent mold smell in room,visible mold stains, multiple hairs in bathroom, gum on ceiling, dust bunnies under bed, to name a few.... Buffet cleanliness was gross. Surprisingly weak options for kids. Restaurants in general were meh. Note that if you do not upgrade to pricey diamond club, you'll be stuck with very low quality offerings/ drinks. Mini bar not restocked daily. Resort felt either understaffed or with gaping holes in upkeep. Staff was mostly enthusiastic about you attending time share sales pitched than resolving your issues. Overall service was very inconsistent, fairly disappointing for a resort labeled as 5 stars.
