We stayed three nights with our family of four in a room with a King bed attached to another with two singles. The beds were very comfortable.
The property is in a quiet, scenic spot about 10 minutes from Quebec City, right on the St. Lawrence and across from Ăle d'OrlĂ©ans, which has charming antique and art shopsâvery different from the more touristy feel of Quebec City. We enjoyed a guided tour of ChĂąteau Frontenac and loved the Notre Dame Basilica (free entry). We also heard Saint Anneâs Basilica is worth the drive.
The bathroom was small and functional, with a compact fiberglass showerâreminiscent of a cruise ship setup. Breakfast each day included yogurt, bread, jam, thawed waffles, and eggs to order. Itâs a simpler offering than what we've had at some other B&Bs with more customized or chef-inspired meals.
The house had a noticeable aroma in the evenings, likely from cooking, and the early sunrise (around 4:45 a.m.) made us wish for blackout curtains.
That said, the location is peaceful, and we enjoyed chatting with other guests in the shared upstairs space. The host was warm and welcoming. A traditional B&B stay with close proximity to Quebec City.
