Welcome to our cosy 1 bedroom apartment at Whale Bay. If you`re looking for a tranquil retreat with unbeatable views, then this is the perfect place for you.



Situated in an idyllic location on the west coast, our modern apartment boasts breathtaking views of the surf and coastline, all of which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own private spa on the large deck.



Inside, you`ll find an open plan kitchenette, dining and living area. The bedroom features a firm king size bed and there`s also a sauna available for use at an extra cost (please enquire within).



We provide all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including Sky TV and kitchen essentials like our locally brewed `Raglan Roast` coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt and pepper. With a natural waterfall and native garden just outside your doorstep, you may even be lucky enough to spot one of our resident birds, the kereru.



Please note that we cater to mature guests aged 30 and over, to ensure a peaceful and respectful atmosphere for all. We also ask that there are no children or pets on the property.

Sanctuary

I was on a solo runaway trip and this was exactly what i needed. A real 3R bolt hole to rest relax and recharge (with a fair amount of reading, plus some surf and star gazing added in). Everything was perfect. Close enough to Raglan to be convenient but far enough away to be private and gorgeously peaceful. Even had a kereru visit. Next time i need to run away i know where to come.

Stellar retreat

A return visit to the outstanding property proved even finer. The location and views are brilliant. The colorful and complex garden that sits below is a favorite feature. Heavy rain came this trip but didn’t bother as the view, hot tub and kitchen all made it a good day. The sun returned, the surf picked up and the most amazing full moon showed up. Bring a book, leave to your worries.

Cozy comfort in Whale Bay

Wife and I enjoyed our stay! Check in/out is easy Host is easy to reach. As for the property, the view of the surf at Whale Bay is beautiful, from the hot tub on the deck or through the floor to ceiling glass from inside. The kitchen is well equiped. The bed is very comfy. And the stars where bright! If we go back to Raglan, we would book this property again!

Extended weekend getaway

My partner and I both needed a weekend away to disconnect from the world and we got it. The place had everything we needed to cook and entertain ourselves. The spa pool was a great hit anytime of the day. And the tv never got used. We will definitely be going back.

Incredible views, perfect spot

Amazing views of the waves breaking just beneath the house. Really warm and clean. Spa on the deck was fantastic. House had everything you’d need and was in a great location, not too far from town but far enough to feel like it was a bit remote. Highly recommend

Love the sound of the ocean

Great little holiday stay. You can hear the waves crashing, surfers provide great entertainment, the gardens are a pleasure and the house itself is really comfortable for a couple. The beds are great, couches I'd consider for home and the hot tub's a treat. Would happily come back next trip to NZ
