The house is a well updated historical settler's home, done in great taste and with perfectly added newer decor while also retaining just enough of the traditional elements to appreciate the rich past. Inside, very clean and tidily furnished for everyone's needs with plenty of supplies; layout is two-sided around sides of the kitchen, and each has a bathroom, bedroom, and couch(es), as well as its own door for access to the large furnished porch that gets lots of sunlight all day. While one side has a bar and deer feeding wooded area outside and the other has the dining room, living room and view of the creek with sunrise, firepit and small boats for use. Outside is a very large lawn with a few trees plus a very large brick firepit with wood stocked, picnic table and row boat as well as kayaks with oars (free use)! Host allows for easy check in and out by simply using key lockbox, and is available with questions by providing phone number or also promptly responding to messages and noting anything ahead of time (so for us contact/questions were not needed). Less than a half hour from Bay de Noc with awesome lesser known hiking/camping/small town on the top shore of Lake Michigan, Dollar General is 2 minutes away, and about 90 minutes is the National Park by Pictured Rocks. Overall quite the great time for a very reasonable price! Thank you, would definitely recommend and return!
