An absolute dream place to spend time with loved ones. At the bottom of the garden are your own private steps down to the water. (path a little tricky for young kids or old people on their own) We would duck down for quick swims all day long, you can't beat being this close to the water. At night you can hear the waves from bed. The beach itself is lovely. The local rocks leave a silvery glitter in the sand and water that i haven't seen anywhere else. There are two beach restaurants one casual, the other a bit more refined, both excellent. The house is simple but comfortable. It feels like you are staying at a close friends home rather than a generic rental. We felt relaxed immediately. The house has some lovely details like large arch windows looking onto the garden. A large outdoor deck for meals. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The kitchen and bathroom are simple but well equipped so you have everything you need. Loved it all. Highly recommend staying here if you like the simple things in life. If you are looking for a super luxury villa then it may not be for you. We can't wait to return soon!Thank you!

Petite villa dans un lieu magnifique. L’accueil a été parfait et nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille.

Un emplacement très agréable pour cette maison "dans son jus"

Tout dépendra de la pondération que l'on attribue à différents critères. La description est assez fidèle, la maison est bien située avec un accès (impraticable pour de petits enfant ou des personnes âgées) à la belle plage du Canadel. Le jardin n'est par entretenu mais est constitué de petits arbres qui apportent de l'ombre, toute la journée. La maison est très simple et mériterait un peu plus d'entretien, rien de choquant mais ne vous attendez pas à des prestations élevées. En résumé un bon souvenir de séjour en famille.

Perfect location, but the house is a bit run-down

We loved the house, the garden and the beach, and spent a wonderful vacation - we could swim in the sea in October, sit outside till after sunset. The beds/mattrasses were comfy, there was enough space in the wardrobes and cupboards. However the double beds are on the small side for couples, used to German standards (150cm, I think). We were a bit disappointed that the kitchen had all "the necessary", but not the things that make live beautiful: There were coffee cups, but not 4 of the same kind, there were only 3 wineglasses, but plenty of waterglasses... never mind, we bought some on the "brocante" (flee market), but we thought that for a house at this price per week you could expect to have a set of matching dishes and glasses for 4 people. Communication was easy, and Karen, the lady who handed the keys, was very helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our trip very much and would like to come back.

simply gorgeous

South of France at its purest ! Beautiful spacious property in a wonderful setting. This authentic holiday home has lots of character, is well equipped, and has all amenities available. The beds are comfortable, the mattresses are clean and new, the bedrooms have stunning views of the romantic garden and sea. Very friendly and helpful owner and caretaker. We would love to return.
